There was hella contact by BOTH teams. The REFS SUCKED.
BUT... They did not make the wrong call on Nurse's weak ass attempt which was essentially pump faking the timeout.
This angle shows that his exuberant TIMEOUT signal was when Maxey DIDN'T have the ball.
Coaches are supposed to MANAGE the game, not WATCH the game. He was caught it the moment and was watching it like the tens of thousands of people in the Garden.

Let's pretend like Brunson didnt rip Maxey jersey on the inbound pass. This image clearly shows Maxey with possession and Nurse calling timeout.
Beautiful! pure hustle. This is probably the best angle, and you see light contact at best. Maxey tried to foul bait and coughed it up.
