Depends on where you live. I’m in Boston, in a state sitting among those with the highest unemployment in the nation. I know quite a few people who made above 50k that are still unemployed, a result of the strict shutdown policy instituted by Governor Baker and the amount of competition for jobs in this area. Demand is high and availability is slim.
Sure, those people can go work at Amazon or Whole Foods, but the wages of those two aren’t going to help them keep pace with the lifestyle - and spending - their former job assisted with. That’s the problem. How do these people pay their mortgage when the moratorium is over? How do they pay their car note? Their children’s healthcare? Summer camp? Home repairs?
Entire lifestyles have been uprooted by these shutdowns, which the $600 was meant to compensate for.
That retroactive payment better occur or the Democrats have a problem in 2022.
Assuming you're speaking on folks receiving Unemployment and/or PUA payments, combined with pairing down their lifestyle, if you don't account for rent, they should still be able to afford some of their bills. Of course they can't live the same lifestyle they did with more income. No? The bonus that was meant to subsidize the considerable loss of income millions suffered after the shutdowns ended on August 1st, 2020. Since then, millions have succumbed to massive debt, many of them living off of credit cards. Those people must be made whole or the stimulus is meaningless.
Bruh seems like you need to use the stimulus to hire a fukking financial planner. Weren't you in here last year talking shyt about the dumb shyt you were spending that extra $600 on last year?
You want an extra $600 again plus retroactive pay and a longer moratorium on evictions? Bruh just man up and do a menial job because it's gonna bring in more money then sitting back and bytching about unemployment and the like all the damn time.
Funny how y’all start sounding like right wingers when hard questions are raised.Get a fukking job. You been whining about unemployment for like 10 months now.
What hard question was raised?. You tricked off an extra $600/wk, shyt you should’ve been stacking for when the benefit ran out - full stop.Funny how y’all start sounding like right wingers when hard questions are raised.

Enough about me. Do you want to see articles about how the unemployed are living off credit cards because the bonus expired last summer? I’m not sure why a “get a job” retort is relevant in a discussion of how to make whole those whose income plummeted in the wake of the shutdowns. The $600 was meant to stave off the pain, somewhat, of losing that income. Yes, some people ended up making more than they were when employed, but most of them weren’t. The expiration of that $600 hurt a lot of families, and you better believe that’s one of the reasons Biden won and Georgia went blue a week ago. What hard question was raised?. You tricked off an extra $600/wk, shyt you should’ve been stacking for when the benefit ran out - full stop.

Who you quoting , I have them on ignoreBruh seems like you need to use the stimulus to hire a fukking financial planner. Weren't you in here last year talking shyt about the dumb shyt you were spending that extra $600 on last year?

My bad, bae... I’ve have whoever you were talking to on ignore.Lol, how? Don’t cape for a dude who made threads about blowing his UI on garbage when it was coming in now whining about needing more
Dude was in TLR talking reckless back in May about how people were dumb as fukk for going back to work instead of collecting the $600 boost.
Posters who went back to work like
"man fukk y'all!
"
While this guy was like
"Can't wait to blow this money on a new TV. What other electronics does the coli recommend???
"
Now that $600 boost is gone, he pops up in stimulus threads out the blue talking about "people are hurting! We need the $600 boost back now! Families who were keeping up with the Joneses can't keep up! Families who use to wine and dine in fancy restaurants and drive a Benz can't keep up with their lifestyles they use to have"
Bruh needs to go somewhere with that bullshyt.
