Let's say they do, that's roughly $7980 a month depending on your state. Add in the average cost of 1.75 kids being home for 12 months. Then factor in what-ifs IE one of the people in your home get sick with ACA only. Your tire goes out, your fridge dies etc. etc.

The amount now is obviously much better, its still very difficult for someone with a family.
The majority of families get by on less per month.

The children would almost certainly qualify for Medicaid.

It seems we're searching for a hypothetical outside the norm.

People lost their jobs during a pandemic. There was always going to be cuts to the standard of living.

Also, stay at home

Didn't disagree with you at all. Acknowledging that it is difficult to live off unemployment insurance isn't saying anything by that.

When 25 million ppl all get laid off in the same time frame, naturally the government is looked to. Some people are satisfied with the bailout thus far, some aren't.

I agree with you.

That's why I like to blame the president.

your initial comment made it seem like you were referring to some specific issues. just retorting with 3 trillion more dollars is a bit nebulous.

There are protests going on with people wanting to reopen the country. Some of those people are specifically citing wanting to go back to work because they can't make ends meet. There was a woman in Texas that was sentenced to 7 days in jail because she refused to close her hair salon because she had to feed her kids. Those people are not satisfied with the stimulus and want things to reopen because they can't live on what they received or are receiving.
