The majority of families get by on less per month.Let's say they do, that's roughly $7980 a month depending on your state. Add in the average cost of 1.75 kids being home for 12 months. Then factor in what-ifs IE one of the people in your home get sick with ACA only. Your tire goes out, your fridge dies etc. etc.
The amount now is obviously much better, its still very difficult for someone with a family.
The children would almost certainly qualify for Medicaid.
It seems we're searching for a hypothetical outside the norm.
