Both albums brought innovations to the game, both dropped at the same time, both had shots towards each other. Blueprint solidified Jay's name in the game and helped launch Kanye's career, and Stillmatic revitalized Nas' career.

This ends right here, right now.

blueprint hands down it aint even a contest

and your stillmatic tracklisting was not the original list
that song Braveheart party is possibly the worst song by any major artist I've ever heard

actually after the song destroyed and rebuilt you might as well turn off the album because the next 5 to 6 songs there after his isn't worth listening too

Blueprint and it's not even close. Stillmatic only got 5 mics because Blueprint did.
I've felt this way for the longest time now. Stillmatic is your typical nas album after illmatic...has a few of his greatest songs and then its scattered with average or straight skippers. I would've accepted lost tapes for 5 mics a lot easier.

Some tracks on Blueprint I just don't like.
-I think Hola Hovito is one of the worst hip-hop song I've ever heard. To me that track didn't blend in with the flow of the whole album.
-Izzo is aight but still a bit to pop-ish for me.
-Jigga that nikka was meh to me, feels like another crossover pop beat. The hook is fruity as hell.

If nas new how to actually put an album together he'd have classic after classic. But the shyt he does is just ass backwards sometimes. I see now why his debut was so flawless, cuz his record company selected all the tracks for him. Could you just imagine if he replaced the weak stillmatic tracks I mentioned with some of the lost tapes tracks? You'd be looking at another Illmatic, maybe something even better.

1. "Stillmatic (The Intro)" Hangmen 3 2:11
2. "Ether" Ron Browz 4:37
3. "Got Ur Self A..." Megahertz 3:48
4. "Doo Rags" Nas, Precision 3:47
5. "You're da Man" Large Professor 3:26
6. "Rewind" Large Professor 2:13
7. "One Mic" Nas, Chucky Thompson 4:28
8. "2nd Childhood" DJ Premier 3:51
9. "Purple" Baby Paul, Mike Risko 5:24
10. "Nothing Lasts Forever" L.E.S. 4:38
11. "Rule" (featuring Amerie) Trackmasters 4:32
12. "My Way" The Alchemist 3:55
13. "Poppa Was A Playa" (featuring Millennium Thug) Lofey 5:12
14. "What Goes Around" (featuring Keon Bryce) Salaam Remi 4:59

I'm fukking dying right now. I completely forgot that was on Stillmatic.

Sometimes I think Nas is straight up trolling when he does stuff like that. "Summer On Smash", "Who Killed It".... these are some of the worst songs ever

Stillmatic has some straight garbage tracks that you couldn't even sit through. Was not consistent throughout the album with classic or even playable tracks

With blueprint, whether you disliked some of the songs or not there wasn't any terrible tracks on the record, you just wasn't feeling it but you could let it play through

Consistency wins in all areas of life and the same applies here

Consistency wise and production wise Blueprint has to win. Multiple classic tracks, amazing production front to back. Stillmatic has better lyricism but it also has shyt like Bravehearts Party and Rule. The best couple tracks on Stillmatic are better but overall Blueprint wins.

You can play it front to back anywhere. Can't say that about Stillmatic.
