The production on blueprint is just :mjcry:

I could listen to Song Cry instrumental all day

Stillmatic isnt as complete as Blueprint.

Also Youre da Man is the best off the album. Dont know why it gets left off Nas' best.

Felt like Jay was coasting a little bit on Blueprint on the mic.
Nas wasn't playing around on the mic.
Production wise I'd probably go with Blueprint...

Stillmatic has more weak tracks and is clearly inferior to Blueprint.

Smoking - very forgettable beat. Mostly talks about nothing. It seems to exist without purpose. There's nothing impressive about this track at all. A song about smoking was always going to be weak.

Braveheart Party - yes, it's on my version, and it automatically prevented this album from being a classic. I was devastated when I first heard it, because the album started so well and I had high hopes for it. It fukks up the flow cuz it's placed right in the damn middle. This monstrosity should never have seen the light of day

The Flyest
- Probably the worst nas/az collab. The hook is terrible and it's just a garbage song overall. Compare this to Life's a bytch or How ya Livin, and you'll see how inferior and useless this track is.

Destroy & rebuild - This shyt should have been on a mixtape or something. It aint anywhere good enough to be a comeback album where you have to prove you still got it.

My Country - Great lyrics, but ruined by an atrocious beat, weak guest verse and sub-par hook. Take out Nashawn, the hook and replace the beat with a something better and you'd have a great song.

Overall, theres just too many weak tracks on Stillmatic. It damn sure aint a classic, and the 4 or 5 weak tracks bring down the quality. Blueprint only has two weak tracks (Jigga & Hovito) and is clearly superior.

If nas new how to actually put an album together he'd have classic after classic. But the shyt he does is just ass backwards sometimes. I see now why his debut was so flawless, cuz his record company selected all the tracks for him. Could you just imagine if he replaced the weak stillmatic tracks I mentioned with some of the lost tapes tracks? You'd be looking at another Illmatic, maybe something even better.

1. "Stillmatic (The Intro)" Hangmen 3 2:11
2. "Ether" Ron Browz 4:37
3. "Got Ur Self A..." Megahertz 3:48
4. "Doo Rags" Nas, Precision 3:47
5. "You're da Man" Large Professor 3:26
6. "Rewind" Large Professor 2:13
7. "One Mic" Nas, Chucky Thompson 4:28
8. "2nd Childhood" DJ Premier 3:51
9. "Purple" Baby Paul, Mike Risko 5:24
10. "Nothing Lasts Forever" L.E.S. 4:38
11. "Rule" (featuring Amerie) Trackmasters 4:32
12. "My Way" The Alchemist 3:55
13. "Poppa Was A Playa" (featuring Millennium Thug) Lofey 5:12
14. "What Goes Around" (featuring Keon Bryce) Salaam Remi 4:59

^^ That shyt would have been classic.
