i know this
i'm just :troll:

it was mutually beneficial because scott's production outside of dre's co-productions was hit and miss

its clear that he learnt a lot from dre as a producer, but dre could never make those type of melodies

Oh ok :russ:
Yeah, it was a fair exhange
It gave Dre a new sound and it catapulted Scott's career to a new level

Scott Storch is one of the most overrated producers ever. He played keys on 2001, which also had keys from other keyboardist as well. Now all of a sudden, "he put the battery in Dre's back" while Dre already had hits with Eminem and Snoop in '99 before 2001 even dropped and that's not even counting Dre's catalog pre 1999.

I mean obviously Dre already had been his mark in the game and was already a legend by the time Scott started working with
BUT to act like he ain't help Dre comeback with a huge hit lead single as well as album after Dre had a rough start getting Aftermath off the ground wouldn't be right

We got it on record that Em used to bark at Dre in the studio about his work ethic. That is the primary reason Royce fell out with both of them. During that time Em was murdering everything. But how much of his music is listenable today compared to Still Dre ? I'll wait.

None of that proves that Storch "put the battery in Dre's back". Storch was a keyboardist for The Roots before Dre. Dre was already a legendary producer. As I have said before, Storch's work on 2001 is overstated. He played keys on some of the songs. On "Still Dre", Storch isn't even the only one playing keys. Mel Man >>>>> Storch in regard to contributions to 2001.

Because he didn't. "Still Dre" is classic and obviously was a comeback for Dre as an artist. As a producer though, Storch only played keys. The song was as produced by Dre and Mel Man. Storch isn't even the only one playing keys on the song. And before "Still Dre" even dropped, there was these:

B Please
My Name Is

The narrative changes depending on who The Booth decides to credit with putting Dre back on as an attempt to downplay Dre. It's either Dre would be washed without Eminem or Storch, Mel Man, etc. put Dre back on. What people always overlook is that Em, Storch, and Mel Man were relative nobodies before Dre. Em was an underground rapper, Storch was playing for The Roots, and Mel Man is pretty much known primarily for working with Dre.

Do some research family. This is why Royce and Em fell out early on. Royce manager Kino gave an interview discussing it. Dre caught feelings said Kino couldn't come around. Royce said I'm riding with my manager and it went downhill from there.
