Ps. To say Melvin contributed more than Storch is blasphemous. Where is his hits?

Breh, Mel Man co produced the entire album with Dre except "The Message". Storch's role in 2001 is equivalent to Kamara Cambon who also played keys on every track that Storch played on. Yet none of ya'll even mention dude and he's also listed in the line notes. Mike Elizondo and Colin Wolfe also had huge roles in the sound of 2001, but none of ya'll acknowledge them and want to talk about giving credit. Who cares if they don't have hits, they contributed as much Storch according to the credits.

Y'all juelzing. Now tell me how any of those dudes combined catalogues stacks up against Storches?

It ain't about catalogs. Posters are in this thread giving Storch credit for his role in 2001 when other musicians played as much of a role as Storch and in some cases a bigger role. Then posters made it a point to give credit where it was due, but are only acknowledging Storch because he had some sizable hits.

And Storch had just that "hits" and some of them are even classics. Aside from that, Storch wasn't tapped to helm an album for anyone of note during the height of his run. So when you people ready to place Storch alongside names of producers who were producing platinum albums and breaking careers, Storch is overrated. Talented keyboardist, but falls short as a producer.

Ok Juelz, I simply said he and Jay put the battery in Dre's back. As "Still Dre" is arguably the most revered and listenable track off that album till this day. And Dre hasn't done nothing bigger since.

"Xxplosive" is quite possibly the most revered track off the album. Storch had nothing to do with that song. "Forgot About Dre" and "Next Episode" were bigger than "Still Dre" and neither track had input from Storch either. However, "Still Dre" is the most revered track that Storch has ever contributed to.

Actually your wrong. "Forgot about Dre" and "The Next Episode" were bigger hits than Still Dre, and Scott Storch didnt contribute to either one of them

But what song carries weight today? Forgot about Dre? Explosive only because that was one of Nate' s last projects. And he killed it. Yeah I would put that 2nd to Still Dre.

1st song he learned how to play was Ray Charles' What I'd Say; when he started playing it on the piano at the 3:11 mark:wow:

He taught his self how to play different rhythms with 2 hands and then he found Joe Jackson's song Steppin Out; he plays it on the piano at the 3:53 mark:wow:

Dude’s story is definitely and inspiration
