Why would they adapt an awful book? What was awful about it?

What?!but besides all that, the actual obstacles in the book were stupid as fukk.
like he has to beat pacman on 1 quarter and recite scenes out of 80s movies.
In a world where vr offers real physical sensations, then yes i can see people being on it all the time, especially with a shyt economy. People are on social media 24/7 as is.I disagree, people may use tech a lot but it is all aimed at doing real shyt. I guess there are a lot of gamers out there but it's still not most people.
There are people on both the way you say but really it is a small minority. Most people have never even experienced VR and most people are not on social media at all. Remember to consider ALL people. In a world where vr offers real physical sensations, then yes i can see people being on it all the time, especially with a shyt economy. People watch hours of entertainment and spend hours on Facebook. Now imagine the freedom of a forum in 3d form. It will be nuts.More awesome than real life?

This is why he says his generation is called the missing millions. The OASIS cant be compared to life now anyway. You can literally do anything you can imagine . It would be as addictive as drugs. There are people on both the way you say but really it is a small minority. Oh if they go with that angle that would be real interesting. That this is like an addictive drug that actually hurts your real life existence. But it seems to be light fair and using the backdrop of a shytty existence as just scenery or something. This is why he says his generation is called the missing millions. It would prob be a developed world problem. Sadly that is who history cares about.People yes, but not most people.
Na, most things are better real than fake, real sex is better than fake sex, real food is better than fake food, your imagination is better than someone else's because you know the audience better. Plus their are things that can't be simulates like accomplishing goals, someone genuinely expressing gratitude to you, having and raising children. There is way more to life than pop culture and being entertained.
