I just want to know how is Sark better than Hermann?

In what alternate reality is this an upgrade?
It’s two different decisions:

First decision is that Herman wasn’t the guy long term

Second decision is hiring Sark

He might not be better but it starts with them thinking Herman had to go.

the ether
true but his dad being monte kiffin helped alot and lane kiffin has actually been a decent coach at his stops minus the nfl
He didn't do jack shyt to deserve getting the Raiders job at 31

He was so bad at the Raiders that there was zero reason for Tennessee to hire him to be the youngest coach in the NCAA directly off that failure.

His meh 7-6 season at Tennessee was zero reason for him to get an even better USC gig

He got fired from USC cause they were worse after 3.5 years of Lane than they were when he got there (4-7 in his last 11 games ending in a blowout loss to ASU, but Orgeron went 6-2 with the same crew immediately after he was fired)

Nick Saban saved him with the Alabama gig, cause anyone in the world can get another head coaching gig after a few years as the Alabama OC

He was fine at FAU

Now Ole Miss giving him his 5th head coaching gig at just 45 even though he hasn't ever impressed as a head coach above the C-USA level.

Tony Elliott has been an assistant coach for 15 years, won the Broyles award for top assistant in America, won a NC as the OC....and still ain't gotten a single chance at a head coaching gig.

Randy Shannon is 54 years old and his only real sin has been saving kids' lives and not being corrupt at Miami....he still can't get a 2nd chance 10 years later.

Karl Dorrell is 56 years old and he JUST NOW finally got a second chance at head coach after not being bad at all at UCLA 15 years ago. UCLA went to 5 bowls in 5 years under Dorrell, made just 1 bowl game the next 12 years without him. He won Pac-12 COY this year with Colorado, why the fukk wasn't he hired before this?

This hire isn't just about Sark. It's also part about the staff he can bring with him. After Urban backed out, and rather you believe Brian Kelly was up for the job or not Sark separated himself from Fickell, and Campbell in that regard. Dude will likely have an all star staff. Wouldn't be surprised if he has 10-12 million to spend on staff hires.

There has been a lot of drama in Herman's tenure: Strip clubs, Players refusing to sing "The Eyes of Texas" fight song, falling out with big money donors...

They would have covered his ass if Herman was delivering, but he wasn't.

It may not be an upgrade coaching wise, but it may return some normalcy to the program.

There's egg on the faces on those that got Charlie Strong fired and SWORE that Mensa was the next coming of Darrell K Royal. They want to quickly move on!

based on potential I guess. Let’s not act like Clemson have been Clemson. One of the winningest programs in history, have lots of money, and sit on fertile recruiting territory.
Nah you right after Clemson won their title in 1981 it was nothing until Dabo got there

How is hiring an alcoholic who showed up drunk to games and meetings a return to normalcy :what:

OU recruiting is too much for Texas

Texas has 4 problems.....

Lincoln Riley - Best QB coach in the nation

Bill Bedenbaugh - Arguably (not by much) the best OL coach in the nation

Cale Gundy - Long time OU position coach and master recruiter, was responsible for players like Adrian Peterson, DeMarco Murray, Joe Mixon, etc. Now coaches & recruits WR's. He is the CLOSER!

Alex Grinch - Responsible for bringing OU's defense back to respectability. It looks like he's headed on the right track!

And OU's recruiting is nationwide.

Your post is accurate.

You do realize they were coming out of the Ty Willingham years right and most of those upperclassmen from the 12 win season were Sarks recruits
