Red, White and Blue is another amazing entry in this series. It’s really baffling how under the radar this series is, I really don’t get why more people aren’t checking for this.

I sat down to watch Mangrove and stopped about one-thirds in. I'll definitely finish it but its tough, for me anyways, to sit back and literally watch a movie with black folks at odds with the cops with all the shyt that's happened in 2020 right in front of our faces. I will watch the entire series though eventually. Also Amazon's promotion is terrible half the time. Nobody really knows about this series or gets what its about.

This hits really close to home. I got family in the UK. My family ended up going from Trinidad to Canada between the 60s and 70s. Strange to think what my life would have been like if they had chose to go to London instead.

That's when it clicked for me that this was a true story like Mangrove. Because there was just no way McQueen would accept a fictional character to be written that dumb.

But in all seriousness, I recommend everyone reading up on the real Leroy Logan. It is very interesting and he actually did end up carving an important legacy. And McQueen makes the right move to not really talk on his late career triumphs as they could downplay the downright unacceptable and horrid behavior Logan had to endure on some "But it worked out alright in the end".
