So it looks like those soccer players could learn a lot by joining a basketball camp or two

I’m not sure how learning more skills and sports is somehow a detriment to anything. You can do both. Cut some PS4 time off after practice and run a few soccer extra soccer drills. I’m not even sure they play in the same season. I know nikkas that played 3-4 sports.

I don't think playing other sports hurts, he made his premise seem like "the youth is in such terrible shape with the love of ISO ball, our youth is being poisoned and if I were in charge I would mandate they fix this by playing soccer"
Don't they move and pass a lot more in hockey than in soccer? With a comparable field size at that. Arent there a ton of 3 on 2 breaks? Never once heard a mention of it as a good reference for bball.
