Going from HS to the NBA is a HUGE culture shock regardless of how many people were giving you preferential treatment before the jump.

The one and done rule helps with the transition a little but I think they should make you wait til you're 20. Or at least send these kids to the NBDL and pump some life into that joke of a farm league.

Shout out to my man Brandon Jennings too. I liked his journey.

Going from elementary school to middle school to high school to work and/or college to work, are all culture shocks. You can't be prepared for that life until u live that life.

They should try to implement some kind of pay or contract incentives for for prospects that stay in school longer

:childplease: Are you comparing the transition from 8th to 9th grade to the transition from living at home with your mama to traveling all over the country and making millions of dollars?

What HS did you go to, bruh? :gladbron:

I'll never understand how some of the most conservative, republican motherfukkers will be the first ones to try and limit, what is essentially, a grown man's employment.

These kids are too mentally undeveloped to ball but developed enough to put on death row.

How dare you make so much sense. :childplease:

It's all the same. At each step in life you are expsoed to new things and difficult choices to make for the good or the bad. Going from college to the NBA is not going to change anything. You are given a free ride as a star athlete, when u make the league you have to show and prove. Nothing can prepare you for that. In college you're broke unless you're getting kickbacks soa gain how does that prepare you for a millionaire lifestyle? It doesn't. College has diversity, but the NBA isn't really that diverse. So being exposed to diffeent lifestyles in college doesn't ready you for that aspect either.
