Russ wins 75% of the time when he gets a triple dub. It does have impact
You're looking at this backwards. That's like saying, "LeBron wins 90% of the time that he makes the last shot, therefore he should always take the last shot."

Russ hunts for triple-doubles EVERY game. It's not like he only tries every third game. He tries almost every time.

But when he's losing (when his team misses shots and the other team makes them), it's harder for him to get a triple-double. That's because you can't reach 10 assists if your teammates miss too many shots, and you can't find 10 rebounds if the opponents make too many shots.

But when he's winning, it's easy to get a triple double. That's because his teammates are making shots (so stat-padding assists is simpler) and the opponents are missing shots (so stat-padding rebounds are simpler).

Russ's teams win when they make more shots and when their opponents miss more shots. That's it. It has NOTHING to do with Russ chasing a triple double cause he is already doing that every game.

Brodie is a prolific stat padder y’all nikkas are funny

you know when Brodie was that dude? When he wasn’t focused on stat Paddington and actually getting results hence why they went to the finals against Miami
I've told this to people before. The 2011-2013 version of Russ is the best version we've seen. He was more efficient, he gave effort on defense, he turned the ball over less, and he didn't break the offense hunting assists and his own shot all the time. It's not like this bball IQ was incredible but he didn't shoot himself in the foot by having "other objectives".

This version of Russ is constantly throwing up bullshyt shots, dominating the ball to hunt his own assists, turning the ball over trying to force dumb shyt, and giving fukk-it effort on defense cause he has rebounds to hunt down and was too tired from dominating the ball on the other end.

He's lost 20 of his last 27 playoff games despite being paired with an All-NBA level player almost every season. I don't get why his stans aren't more bothered by that.

:patrice: Warriors are an 8th seed. If they hold on to that, can you really say Westbrook can carry a team and Steph can’t when they both only made the playoff without home court?
There's pretty much a game to a game and a half separating the 8-10 spot. Trying to make the two seasons similar based on not having home court is some intellectual dishonesty if I've ever seen it. Steph can't even run his team's offense. If Dray is doing his thing-- Steph lacks the tools to get the job done. The Warriors were on the same tier as the Trailblazers pre-2015 before Kerr put the ball in Dray's hands instead. And I'm a fan of what Curry does and who he is as a player-- so no hate.

This whole post is absolute garbage :mjlol:

Pre 2015 Steph was already leading his team to the playoffs and they went to the 2nd round and lost in 7 to the Clips one of those years. This is before Dray and Klay fool ass nikka.

It's pointless even going this route. Westbrook is one of the worst playoff performers at the All Star level in league history. But they glance over his failures and shytty play like it never happened. He's a walking 1st round exit even with a favored team.
:gucci: With a talented team he went to 4WCFs and a Finals. And those teams all had trash spacing to boot. CP3 has had 6 first round exits. Russ has sent him home twice in the playoffs.

When Houston was within a Chris Paul bucket of losing to that OKC team that shouldn't have made the playoffs despite having Harden + Westbrook...

I seriously don't understand how people watch his playoff performances and come up with the takes they do. He is GARBAGE when teams actually game plan a series.

:gucci: What are you talking about before Klay and Dray

And using the CP3 Clips to make your point is funny, because it's really another knock on CP3. That shouldn't have been a 7 game series. He underperformed.

With Kevin Durant you mean. And WB was garbage in the Finals outside of 1 game he dropped 43 in a comeback effort.

Chris Paul's losses aren't due to HIM having a bad series whereas WB just continues to crap the bed even when favored.

What does throwing KD in there mean? Is that supposed to diminish Russ? After Russ was mauled by Pat Bev did KD drag that team to the WCF or something? No. They lost in 5 to the Grizz after Tony Allen locked KDs ass up all series.

:yeshrug: I’m a Cleveland guy and a LeBron fan — I’m just being objective here. It’s intellectually dishonest to say that Russ can carry a team and Steph can’t because Russ was a 6 seed in 2017 and Steph is an 8th seed in 2021 (not a 10 seed like you said).

Russ having a better season that year and both players being capable of carrying their teams can both be true.

I'm glad as hell Bron didn't do what Westbrook did. :mjlol:

If LeBron spent a season pulling the shyt that Westbrook pulls he would deserve all the criticism he gets and far more. And likely end up with the same ass results. You really think Bron (or Bron fans) would choose rebound-hunting and 1st-round exits over annual trips to the Finals?

The season isn't over. When the final buzzer sounded Russ' team was the 6th seed. Things are still in flux for GSW. There's 1.5 games separating them from the 10th seed.

Of course. Everything is contingent on Steph maintaining the 8th seed, winning the play in game, and actually carrying his team to the playoffs.
