So basically, it's important to vote locally, to vote impartial reps (or reps that would likely lean towards the one you want to win), then go vote in the general election. Was this knowledge widely disseminated throughout the cities, counties and states, or was this somewhat lowkey?
Yes exactly, the delegates that vote in the Electoral College are selected by your state representatives.
And no the media never talks about things like this. They are too busy either fear mongering or click baiting unfortunately
All of it is available to anyone who goes and actively looks it up of course.
