So basically, it's important to vote locally, to vote impartial reps (or reps that would likely lean towards the one you want to win), then go vote in the general election. Was this knowledge widely disseminated throughout the cities, counties and states, or was this somewhat lowkey?

Yes exactly, the delegates that vote in the Electoral College are selected by your state representatives.

And no the media never talks about things like this. They are too busy either fear mongering or click baiting unfortunately :francis:

All of it is available to anyone who goes and actively looks it up of course.

lowkey? theres constant commercials in each city/state about voting yes/no on question 14, or yes/no on proposition 45, or vote so and so for assemblyman. if you simply register to vote, they are obligated to send you a full packet of ballot information, a sample ballot or whatever they call it, where theres pages of information about each question pertaining to you at the local and state levels. who is endorsing it, who is opposing it, their corresponding arguments, what happens if it passes or not etc. every voter gets one. its as simple as registering to vote. the one in clark county was pretty short this year, was only 5 questions. couple pages on each. friends in the bay area the shyt was a full on magazine. crack a beer, and read the shyt, and vote. takes a few hours max, and some of those questions and propositions pass by a couple dozen votes here or there over the threshold. at local levels, every vote matters. dont ever let someone tell you it doesnt. the people who tell folks their votes dont matter generally dont want you voting

Shut the fukk up bytch. I can guarantee you white cause you always got some slick shyt to say when it comes to black athletes/issues

It's not even one thing, its the totality of the shyt you post. like very subtle shyt. You, the dude bucci mane, and some more of y'all. Y'all white boys are not slick. I been reading between the lines of y'all post for years.

Start of a revolution.
Well with the lowest voter turnout % wise since the numbers have been tracked, I would say so.

Regardless of what your politics are, the United States has a completely Republican (not filibuster proof, but damn close) government, we also elected a President who will appoint at least one supreme court justice, which will undoubtedly turn the SC conservative. He may appoint up to three total judges.

Over 100MM people registered to vote didn't. Red state/Blue state whatever your state goes traditionally, shyt is going to start changing. Anyway like I said I get apathy towards government, and the lack of good candidates, but fukk if there was ever an election to vote in, it was this one.

The people saying he didn't have to vote for either and he could vote 3rd or write in are fukking clowns, because before the election they said doing either one was basically a wasted vote. Local elections are more important than the presidency so that's what Colin needs to remember, but tearing him down just because he stood on his and according to polls 46% of others is ridiculous. Like i said in the main Kaep thread SAS wanted black people to vote republican just to teach dems a lesson, he wanted us to vote like we're trying to make our spouse jealous by flirting with someone else:snoop:. I still stand by Kaep and SAS c00n ass can kick fukking rocks, or at least have the guts to stand up to all those cac bytches that punk him over there at BSPN.

Kaep said from day one, he dont fukk with the 2 party system and that the institution of American politics be it Republican or Democrat have shown it does not help PoCs

Why the fukk would he vote when neither candidate has looked out for the people he's protesting for? :what:
Shh you can't bring logic into a rant thread:mjlol:

OK
What y'all don't understand is some ppl don't believe in voting. They don't believe in this country. And you Have to respect that.
?

Nah, it's my belief that most people who choose to not vote are either ignorant about the issues at stake, or they've become indoctrinated with dumb conspiracy theories.. These smug apathetic voters are infuriating to me and I bet many of them couldn't tell you about anything on the ballot outside of the presidential candidates.

In Oklahoma, we voted on whether or not to increase the sales tax to help fund teacher raises. Why would you not want to have a say on that? It directly impacts your wallet.

It's hilarious to see some of y'all complain about the state of the country and at the same time decide to do nothing to change it. Y'all would be better off in monarchy or dictatorship. There are two ways to enact change in this country. Either you start an armed revolution or you go vote. Which one is more feasible?

I just lost a lot of respect for Kaepernick with this. He's treading dangerously close to smart dumb nikka territory.

Why would preaching democracy stop you from looking down on other people's choices.
No one is debating whether or not Kaep had the not right to vote.
