steven aye,..is completely offkey in the skills department.

i liked the fact he approached the commentary from a good side to keep the content of the segment alive to draw, for espn.

yet his stance is that of a journalism guy,..and i have to challenge and i will challenge this stance. if i can and i see scoop to have the showdown with stephen aye.

Let's put it like this, if Mike played in this era of basketball he would've easily has a couple of 40pt, 8ast, 8rb seasons. Mike played in a much more physical game. Lebron is a better passer, rebounder, and an overall better defender, but by no means is he more skilled than Jordan. Jordan took a lot more shots and avg over 50% FG in a season.

I would make the argument that Lebron isn't more skilled than Prime Kobe or Prime Duncan.

if he was he would play the pg without quality coaching and average a triple double.

mj playing the pg position averaged a triple double a game...
with a huff ass coach,..and an inferior squad incomparison to bron's in either locale.

plus, mj played in a high iq era as well.

Well, functional skillset, if you need a way to quantify it.

But lebron is skilled, his ability to finish around the rim, his passing ability, defense, and his intermediate post game.

Funny, lebron gets killed for possessing all of the skills lesser specialty players only have one of. In regards to basketball, he's a meta-human(as is kobe).

Im not sure I agree with SAS, but lebron is a lot more skilled than people want to give him credit for. Not sure if its the hate or selective sight.

whats hilarious is Lebron James just won his first championship and he's already more "skilled" than Michael Jordan.


A player who's game is based almost totally on the fact that hes bigger, stronger, and faster than the rest of the league, is now more skilled than Michael Jordan.

It's a shame I can't see this skill the way Stephen A can, was it the same skill that just developed a decent mid range jumper 2> years ago?

Bron's skill is "overrated" because hes literally the size of the avg pf, yet has the speed and quickness of a sg, and the mentality of a pg.

If Karl Malone was bringing the ball up running pnr (as the point), and had the skills required to shoot a 3, drive to dunk/lay-in, drive to pass, drive to shoot, drive and throw up a floater all on a consistent basis his skills would be "overrated' too..

That being said, Chuck was probably closest to Bron in skillset as far as alltime pf go, but he was barely 6'5 and dont think he weighed as much (in his prime) as Bron either

No, Bron isnt more skilled than Jordan, but his size+athleticism along with his skills make it appear closer than it is.
