Curry's impact on the game and the accolades that he has collected in the past 8 years elevated him above Kobe. Breaking the three-point record and having another excellent playoffs run are the factors that persuade me to put him above Kobe. Also, longevity is going to be on Steph's side since he is very skillful on the offensive end and very subtle on the defensive side as a solid help defender. I see Steph as Lebron and Kareem, both players were able to sustain their prime years for a very long time and were impactful in their championship teams in their late 30s. In addition, I won't be surprised if Curry's career mirrors Tom Brady's longevity of dominating a professional league. He can reach Brady's level if he doesn't encounter a career-ending injury.

Steph is a great, historic player, and the best shooter ever, but he's also played on some very well-constructed teams. Hell, Klay is (or was) like if Peja was an elite defender. Most recent teams besides the Spurs or Raptors with Kawhi haven't been well-constructed IMO. Kobe was truly dazzling to watch. You could put more of a burden on him than Steph, IMO.
