Being a better passer means you're a better passer.
and Westbrook is most certainly a better passer.
Again, that doesn't make him a better passer. A large amount of his assist opportunities come from when he sucks in defenders on drives and kicks (I'd like to see the heat map of team defenses on his drives). I'm referring to passing skillsets: creativity, halfcourt offense, getting the ball to players in their spots, finding cutters, creating holes in the defense, finding players in traffic when the defense is set etc etc.He ain't got the offensive players Curry has on the thunder squad, he makes Adams/Roberson/etc look good while they have very little ability to create and score for themselves.
He's always been good at that - it's been one of his strengths since his rookie season. He finds people with ease and he's gotten far more perceptive of how the defenses collapse in on him over the years.
Not at all. Assists and the impact they have on the game are one of the harder things to measure - I've always been upfront about this. Curry could easily average double-digit assists if he cut down his shooting and passed the ball more, but the Warriors offense would suffer (well to be more specific the offense wouldn't be as good). For someone who loves stats you sure like to throw them to the bushes depending on who you defending or arguing against![]()
Breh I have no dogs in this fight. I didn't grow up watching Isiah play nor am I a Sabo stan I was jus sayingOh and @Ain't That Something you can definitely argue that a player is CREATING more points through assists (obviously if they're the dominant factor) than another player who averages less assists, but that doesn't mean they're the better passer. Similar to scoring in that you can't automatically assume one is a better shooter (in the literal sense) if they score more points. Scoring more points (taking into account efficiency, role and minutes), means you're a better scorer - not necessarily a better shooter.
I 110% agreeKlay Thompson held up his part of the deal.
Steph came up short.![]()
Yo I don't even want the Cavs to win but that call was some straight bullshyt on Kyrie. The refs were definitely trying to call in GSW's favor to end it on Monday. This bytch needs to shut up. Refs did everything to try to finish this series tonight. They should be fined for calling out of bounds when kyrie clearly saved it. This bird brain bytch needs a whoopin

There's really no point in going back and forth with you. Your saying anything to fit your narrative. Your acting as if the Isiah thomas on the Celtics is the one people compare to curry and you disrespect the real Isiah. You say things like zeke handle isn't even in the discussion with players like curry and Irving, which is laughable. Then you say Vinnie Johnson and Tripuka ran the piston team And you say Bill laimbeer was good at getting his own shot. also. Which shows you don't know anything about those players or those Pistons. But your willing to look at stats and say oh Vinnie Johnson got 4 apg so he was running that team also.Correct.
Nah. I do think he's in the conversation with the best ball-handlers though.
Perimeter player - yes. Correct.
This is a difficult one. He's up there, but in saying that there's three PGs in the league (Rondo, CP and Rubio) who're better passers than he is.
Nah. That's not what I said.
Correct.
What do you disagree with, and if you disagree with those points do you agree that he's at least up there in all those categories (except passing)?

Why? Because you can't address the points I made? There's really no point in going back and forth with you..
The difference between me and you is I'm not here to recite popular narratives - I'm here to speak the truth.Your saying anything to fit your narrative.
And how did you come to this conclusion?Your acting as if the Isiah thomas on the Celtics is the one people compare to curry and you disrespect the real Isiah.
Because he's not. Both Kyrie (especially) and Curry manipulate the ball with both hands better than Zeke ever did. shyt even A.I. said they were on 'another level' compared to him -You say things like zeke handle isn't even in the discussion with players like curry and Irving, which is laughable.
I did NOT say this. I said they helped run the offense - meaning they helped move the ball in the halfcourt when running their sets. Zeke wasn't the team's ONLY option. Chuck even spoke on this himself after Dumars was drafted in '85; where he eventually shared the playmaking duties with Zeke. Then you say Vinnie Johnson and Tripuka ran the piston team.
Again. I did NOT say this. Learn to read -And you say Bill laimbeer was good at getting his own shot.
I don't need to look at the stats when I know Johnson helped run the offense when Zeke was off the floor (and when they played together). Chuck wasn't worried when Zeke went to the bench because he knew Johnson would always be able to keep the offense running smoothly until it was time for him to check back in.But your willing to look at stats and say oh Vinnie Johnson got 4 apg so he was running that team also.
What the hell are you even talking about? But when someone else just post stats you poo poo the post on some you can't just post stats without context, but you always do it.
Just as I thought - you have absolutely no idea of what you're taking about.Curry is a wonderful shooter best ever. But you can't be the 5th best player in the finals and wanna be in the discussion with all time greats.
You can laugh all your want, still doesn't change the fact that Curry this season proven to be a better player than Zeke ever did.curry is better than zeke![]()
Name one other perimeter player that was guarded over every inch of the halfcourt like Curry is. Even when they don't have the ball. With multiple players who gravitate towards him.curry is the most heavily guarded perimeter player ever![]()
Another poster that can't read. I said help run the offense (go back through my posts to see what I mean). Obviously Zeke RAN the offense. Do you like being dense on purpose when it comes to players/teams from previous eras?vinnie johnson, and kelly tripuka(who wasn't on the title winning piston teams) were running the offense![]()
Laimbeer was certainly no McHale (by any stretch of the imagination) but he was still able to create his shot - it wasn't all on spot up attempts and second chance opportunities. The point I was making there was it wasn't like he was scoring 17 points a game while nobody was guarding him.bill lambier can create his own shot![]()
