I'm starting to despise Porter.
He has that John Ruiz style
I feel you, but Porter throws way more punches and sets a much higher pace than Ruiz ever did. Porter also has had his share of decent entertaining fights, whereas as Ruiz is only exciting when someone is kicking his ass. (although the Holy fights weren't bad)
Porter vs, Diaz 1 and 2, Paulie, Boone, Thurman, and Berto were all decent to good scraps.
Yeah they were a lil rough on the eyes, but I'd rather watch that than Ruiz vs Kirk Johnson
nikkas just gotta have the footwork to get in position to really fight/box Porter off. Berto hasn't really used any footwork since the Urango fight. His best bet was to just chuck bombs and go for broke, but he didn't.
Thank God, Porter ain't the most accurate of punchers. If his offense was more refined, he could have done what Kirkland did to Tapia for the amount of times he had him on the ropes. Hell, a nikka like Trinidad or Shane would have put Berto to sleep. Life altering beatings

Berto fight with Shane got cancelled because of the hurricane (rip to people in Haiti and his fam) would have been a horrific beating.
I'd watch a porter before bhop fight any day

Porter seems like a nice guy...and maybe he fights that way due to his natural limitations as a fighter and he bullies like that to make up for his shortcomings...but damn it's just so

I was yelling at the screen last night for Berto to give him a mic check to the nuts. Porter gets away with too much of that. Its not boxing. And that nice guy act is just that, an act cuz he's doing that sh!t on purpose. Thats why he was apologizing last night cuz he knew folks would be questioning it. Not a Berto stan by any means, and wanted to see Thurman and Porter run it back. After last night though, I'm glad Keith was non-committal.
Have to say on another note, Keith puts on some weight between fights huh

Nobody comes out of the end of a fight and immediately starts acknowledging they fought dirty ...that's how you knew he was in on that shyt the whole time...and working on fixing it in camp...fukk outta here....he seriously needs someone in the vein of Hatton(Maidana would have drilled his ass low as payback)...Thurman fought at 154 vs Quintana but needs to stay far away from higher weight classes...nothing but disaster waiting for him there.

i think its mostly because he fights pretty infrequently...and his last fight beforehand was a FOTY slugfest
