Wasnt Robinson the one getting flamed by Dream?
So why didn’t Rodman get more chances at it. All he’s known for in that series is tossing his shoes off on The bench.

Robinson even during film and practice that you can come down and help against Dream. The man was asking for help but never received it

Ben Wallace was the cornerstone of a defense
which held perennial NBA championship teams to 68 points.

I legitimately believe if you replace Ben Wallace with draymond the warriors win playoff games 115-70. Who to cut is pretty easy imo
The only reason this was happening was because of the nature of that era and the slow pace of it.

No, the Warriors would not allow 70 points because they play in a much faster paced and better shooting era with more talent and more youth in general plus a lot more ball screens.

No, Ben would not be able to replicate Dray’s defensive versatility or his playmaking.

Draymond is definitively the better player of the three in nearly every way. Only hating ass nxggas would cut him, which comes as no surprise by the posters who already have.
It blows my mind these fools are cutting Draymond.

The one who could actually stretch the floor and rack up dimes while being elite in every facet of defense. There was a time where opposing players could not shoot a jumper over or dunk on Draymond.

Last but not least, there’s performance of Rodman, whose job was supposed to be the leader on defense and alleviate some of Robinson’s heavy workload. Unfortunately, he never fit into the Spurs’ culture and often clashed with both Hill and Gregg Popovich.

During the most critical stages of San Antonio’s season, Rodman refused to guard Olajuwon when asked. In his book, Bad as I Wanna Be (NSFW cover), he stated that “[the Spurs] asked me to guard Olajuwon, and I refused. Bob Hill came up to me and asked if I would take Hakeem in the first half, and I said no.”

Moreover, he was causing locker room problems before the Conference Finals even began. Following the Spurs’ second round victory over the Lakers, Rodman said that “[he] wanted to go to Las Vegas during that time off, so [he] did... This, of course, drove everyone crazy. [The Spurs] didn’t know where [he] was, and they were worried that [he’d] just bailed on the team.”

Not performing up to standard is one thing, but Rodman went one step further by actively refusing to do his job. This put even more pressure on Robinson, who was already carrying a heavy offensive burden.

YOU MISSED SOMETHING

I would have taken him in the second half, but not the first. Any coach will tell you you don't put your best defensive player on the other team's best offensive player in the first half. You put it all on the line in the second half. That's how it worked with Chuck Daly in Detroit, and I know that's how Phil Jackson feels in Chicago
