Understanding how Draymond impacts the game outside of the box score, I'd start Draymond, bench Ben Wallace and cut Dennis Rodman.

I would not have chosen that a few years ago. But I think that's probably the right decision.

I think based on legacy, most people will choose to start Rodman.

Sorry Big Ben :francis:

Dray's and Rodman's versatility are hard to overlook, and I'm not even a Dray fan like that. And tbh I'm not sure the era he plays in doesn't kind of inflate his defensive prowess. But what's sure is that he can defend more positions than Big Ben and has more offensive impact. I'm starting Rodman though, got to set the tone:mjgrin:

Start draymond
Bench Rodman
Cut Ben Wallace

I was a Ben Wallace fan but I can't be playing 4 on 5 on offense. I picked Rodman over Wallace because Rodman was a better ft shooter. I'm starting draymond because he can run an offense in addition to great defense

Start Rodman- Best low post defender and rebounder Can get opponents out their game psychologically

Bench Green- great faciliator, can hit the open 3, can switch everything

Cut Big Ben- I mean Rodman gives me everything Ben does and better. Except maybe the shot blocking. I can live w/out that.

You talking about cheating off defenders when Wallace played before and after zone defense were legal.
He's right though. Ben pretty much played like a back end free safety on that defense. He roamed off his man to get weekside blocks all the time. Sheed was the better man defender against bigs. They kinda let Ben do his thing while everybody else manned up. They knew if they got beat Ben had their back, and he was movie enough on switches that he wasn't food when he got matched up on the perimeter. Got quite a few steaks by being able to run and play passing lanes. He's way more versatile than people who didn't watch him a ton give him credit for.... But he's not either one of the other 2. Her probably be the one I cut because Draymond give you ability to guard 1-5 and also contributes heavily with his iq on offense too. And Rodman just a all time great defender and the best rebounder ever.

Ben Wallace was the cornerstone of a defense
which held perennial NBA championship teams to 68 points.

I legitimately believe if you replace Ben Wallace with draymond the warriors win playoff games 115-70. Who to cut is pretty easy imo
