Starbucks Tranployee Breaks Down In Tears After They’re Scheduled To Work 8 Hours

This is literally the exact type of thing Starbucks employees have been complaining about for years.

Making employees work open to close and then open again is intentionally done to screw them over, because it is very difficult for employees to get up for their next shift, and they'll be penalized for being late.

Plus his main complaint is that the store is short-staffed, and they only have four people working during peak hours. And considering Starbucks made over 22 billion in profit last year, it is not unreasonable to think that they could afford a few more employees.

Literally nothing in this video is anything we haven't heard about Starbucks for years, but TLR will ignore it for corny bootstraps talking points.

I agree working at Starbucks isn't a easy job but this is a part of retail. Also it's hard to find employees, especially with the new generation. They don't want to go through what the past yes went through

Dude got to go to school, study for school, THEN do full days at Starbucks when he agreed on hire he would be at a more manageable time for his schedule. He is not wrong for this. It’s not like he don’t have things to do.

I Worked and did homework, I worked and studied, I worked and did the SAT LSAT, I Worked and study for finals. I Worked and did finales, I Worked and went to the dances, I worked and went to football games and all extracurrical activities, I Worked and went on the BLack college tours. I worked and dated.

Nkkas so soft an 8 hour day is torture. Maybe I need to a be a by your bootstraps nikka cuz I clearly don't understand the problem with working 8 hrs on the weekend while life is still happening. THere were no tears cuz I had to go to work. I understand finding another job but not this shyt.

this is why i worked at call centers when i went to school. Yes, call centers suck BUT at least you get a set shift schedule that you can build your class schedule around. And you might get bonuses if you are doing sales and you can smash on single mothers and hoodrats.

fukk all that 25 hours this week and 45 hours the next week, getting random weekdays off, having to work weekends and the "Sally called in sick, can you come in today?" bullshyt

Agreed. Keep in mind 16 hours and then eventually 12hrs used to be the norm in factories or shops. Change occurs by somebody first taking a stand and complaining about an injustice. Im certain men were called babies for complaining about 16hr shifts at the plant in the 1920s. But look where we are now


Also worth noting that many of our European counterparts have sub 40 work weeks and it does not affect their productivity.
