Personally I think people just overrate the prequels now due to nostalgia. Revenge of the Sith is the only one that's even watchable IMO.

Fair point, but that entire scene really made me cringe. There’s no redemption for this dude, the way he murdered his own father. So for him to “project” Han in his own mind as though...he were being forgiven...really bothered me.

I think they wanted it to be Leia offering him that forgiveness, but...

this move was some straight bullshyt. None of these new characters of this trilogy are compelling, and they turn one of the least compelling Rey into the most powerful Jedi in the series. Kylo Ren a bargain basement anakin. Palpatine returning gives the original trilogy less weight.
