Not really, it is actually the smart thing to do. Our introduction to Star Wars was based on the Skywalkers and their lineage. It would have been great to see beloved characters established and with a rich history. It would have been great to see the emergence of the next Skywalkers. Luke’s kids or possibly grandkids and Lei and Hans. Hell how interesting would it have been to see Luke’s grandson struggling with the burden of being the grandson to the great Luke Skywalker and because of this everyone at the new Jedi academy expects a lot from him. The burden of expectation is to much and he succumbs to the dark side in his quest for more power to simply live up to the Skywalker name. It would be tragic and a beautifully told and reasonable reason he turned. He could start of as a sympathetic character and turn to be this evil twisted Sith by the end. You could have his brother/sister and cousins set out to stop him. It would have been this whole epic shyt, you have Luke pleading with him and in the end like return of the Jedi withdrawing his light sabre in the hopes of turning him like Vader only for his grandson to kill him instead of turning back to the light side. Man fukk JJ, Rian and KK, under the hands of a truly creative team this shyt would have been>>>>>Marvel and these money greedy b*stards would have been reaping the rewards.

. Rey isn't a Skywalker and it's more likely about Kylo turning into a good guy at the end of the movie, rising out of the dark into the light. Rey being a Skywalker is lazy writing because it's what everyone already guessed a long ass time ago. Reminds me when they edited Rey talking to Kylo about helping her just so they could everyone talking about "Rey is joining the dark side confirmed!"
