I wonder if the title is the metaphorical cycle repeating. The story of the next incarnation of Skywalkers is being laid out.

They should just forgotten completely about the other two trilogies and made something completely different. Having any form of Skywalker in these movies was a mistake from the get go. New trailer looks crap frankly and makes TLJ basically worthless.

Brehs there's a theory going around that the word Skywalker isn't referring to one particular person or persons
The previous 2 films were all about throwing the concept of Sith and Jedi in the bushes and moving towards something that combines the two concepts
People use the term "grey Jedi" to describe the combination of the two philosophies but the actual new term for it going forward after this film will simply be "Skywalker"
So if ur someone who combines the two schools of thought you'll be referred to as a Skywalker from here on out.
It makes sense when thinking about the title of the last film "The Last Jedi" .... It's true because after this new film the new term going forth will be Skywalker

Which also fits with an unused plot point JJ almost put into Episode VII. Anakin was going to appear as a force ghost but he would be switching between his Anakin/Vader persona.
