Disney killed SW after TFA (which i'll cape for) ... which is basically a shot for shot remake of ANH all the way down to the fukkin new Death Star, THEN by relasing an entire pointless side movie about the fukkin Death Star, then announcing a Han Solo prequel no one on Earth fukkin wanted while also fliring with origin movies for every other old character that no one wanted, THEN letting Rian Johnson essentially throw out TFA with TLJ, which I honestly don't know if i like b/c i can't remember a goddamn thing about it, THEN firing the only potentially good thing about Solo in Lord and Miller and putting out an extremely pointless and instantly forgettable mess of a movie.

they flew too close to the damn sun from jump and ruined everyone's excitement level for the universe.

seeing that leaked poster, ya know who I'm most intrigued by? the shytty looking alien with Finn. also, lol at Finn's stupid girlfriend not even making the poster.

These idiots first fukk up was retconning the EU and saying none of the old books are cannon...if these retards just went the Harry Potter route and covered the Vong war over the span of 7 or 8 movies they could've literally printed money...

To summarize these books..

Luke Skywalker is regarded as the greatest swordsman in the fukkING GALAXY he reestablished a new jedi order and abolished the old rules about jedi not loving or having families...hes married to Mara Jade, a former assassin for the empire and they have a son: Ben Skywalker

Leia's is a jedi and senator for the new galactic republic...her and han solo are married and have 3 children: Anakin solo the youngest son and Jacen and Jaina Solo who are fraternal twins, their kids are jedi in training and already badass as pre-teens

The Yuuzhan Vong are a race of humanoid aliens who are religious zealots and abhor technology...like, they hate that shyt with a passion...everything from their armor (which is resistant to light sabers) to their weapons and ships are living organisms...they also are resistant to the force and are a formidable opponent to the thousands of jedi spread throughout the galaxy....and they've come to fukk some shyt up....

....but for some reason Disney thought a remake of a new hope was needed along with that horseshyt RJ put out so here we are....

...I'll just stick to the old books....I'm good

the climax battle of episode 9 was 3 minutes of kylo ren fighting a hologram. shyt was fukking idiotic.

I’d take the Force projection and the stiff ANH fight over any of the OD’d lightsaber stuff in the prequels

The more I think about it the more infuriated I get. These new sequels had so much fukking potential they literally could have did anything. Like ol boy said they could have did some shyt with Ben Skywalker, the Solo twins etc, but nope instead we get ANH remix and arguably the worst SW movie ever in TLJ. The character development has sucked too I don't care about Kylo, Rey or even Finn. Plus they made Han and Luke look like straight suckas.

People trash Lucas, however at least he tries shyt and is creative(not that I agree with everything he's done). I honestly wish in like 20-25 years they'd just remake 7-9.

The writing was on the wall soon as they said the EU was no longer cannon...this was before the force awakens had a script....they went from saying they would be working closely with Lucas to make sure the spirit of star wars was preserved to telling him and his outline for future movies to fukk off....I seen the force awakens once ..couldn't finish TLJ....youtube'd Vadar's scene from rogue one ....I'm done..they've done nothing to earn my trust or hard earned cash..fukk em and feed em beans..

As with all movies that I'm guaranteed to watch, I don't read or watch any trailers, commercials so I won't be spoiled. I walked in thinking I was going to get something similar to what you posted but instead we got zero continuity from Episode VI.

I legit thought the movie would start with the Luke and the Jedi ruling the Galaxy and the dark side in the shadows plotting on the come up.

Zero continuity from Episode 6 and TFA. I feel like TFA should be Episode X. Way too much happen between The Jedi Return and The Force Awaken for TFA to be Episode 7.

I do the opposite...I read spoilers before I see a movie...if it looks interesting I'll go see it...knowing what happens beforehand doesn't ruin the experience for me...the trailers for TFA led people to believe Finn was the new lead....white folks on twitter were pissed....especially when the trailer dropped with him igniting a lightsaber...that shyt had me excited....and Cacs were outraged...then I noticed after the movie released white people weren't complaining anymore...so I read the spoilers....then i watched the shyt online....then i said fukk JJ....i was basically done then....we went from Lando to Mace to fukking Finn...

They did the right thing by passing a lot of time between the movies, they just didn't do enough to explain what happened in that time. They just put together a new empire without explaining how it happened, or who the villains were.

The way I see it, you can kill Luke if it makes sense and everyone else can carry the torch, but I don't feel like the torch has been passed on, and I didn't think it made sense.

Luke might've sacrificed himself fighting a nikka that might turn out to be a good guy anyway.

I agree. There was no point in killing like. I was fine with han being killed. And Leia definitely should have been killed. And in episode IX, it was perfectly set up for her to do so. Yet Rian Johnson chooses to bring her back even though Carrie died before the film was even finished. Yet Mark Hamill is alive and well and disagreed with the script and they kill him off for basically no reason. There's already no Yoda, so they needed to keep Luke around to keep old fans invested with the newer characters. But they treated him like a joke from the beginning with the green milk and him tossing his own light saber.

And what is with the one liners? And right from the jump. Corny. Star wars never relied on that kinda nonsense.
