Well if the latest report about the end of the movie is true I understand why
Rey gets knocked out by Darth Sidious, and while she's laying on the ground she hears the voices of Anakin, Luke, Yoda, Obi-Wan, Ezra and Ahsoka telling her to get up. She then deflects Sidious' lightning back at him and blows him up
So, yeah...the biggest Skywalker of them all appears as a voice, and two people the general public would have no idea who they are even hearing also appear

To be fair, Jar Jar did give Palpatine emergency powers, thus creating The Empire, so he's actually accomplished more than Finn.

He united the Naboo and the Gungang races and survived the battle of Naboo as well, even took out a bunch of droids and tanks.
Jar Jar > Finn.
He was proud of his race, on multiple times he brags about their army which is why Padme asks for his help. Also didn't let a white man who he just met give him his name...so there's that.
