I enjoy watching them sometimes but when it comes to Star Wars they are all just so biased.
You know the movie is bad when even the most obsessed fans are like"I gotta see it 4 more times before I know how I feel about it"

Did you read/see why? It's solid reasoning. The mission in Canto Bight has to result in failure, and they didn't want to bring Lando back and have him there, only for him to not come through or be a MacGuffin like the dude in the white suit was and disappoint the audience.
If Lando showed up only to be ineffective or a non-player you really think you'd be happier right now?
They would have had to re-worked that entire plot to make Lando work there in a way that was satisfying, so I'm actually happy they showed some sense. Now, I'm of the opinion that the entire Canto Bight plot should have been heavily re-written for some other reasons, but that's neither here nor there.
From the way Marc Bernardon said it, was that there was a different story at the casino then we ended up with what we got.
You are probably right that it would have been lackluster.

Watched it again yesterday with my sister. Couldn't stay awake for the first hour. I never sleep in movies too.
I will say I didn't like it even more the second time. Everything was glaring. TFA is the laziest star wars film ever made and I hate it for that. But everything other than visually, the last jedi is in contention for the worst movie in the entire franchise.
Going back and watching it again really makes the plot and story errors stand out since you're not as enamored with the visuals

Critics have no idea what theyre talkin about. Why anyone follows their advice on whether to see a film or not boggles my mind. I try to read some of their reviews and the shyt they say has nothing to do with the film, it's them sniffing their own farts George Clooney style
