Example 1 is based off a fact. Something that actually happens in the movie.
Example 2 is a baseless assumption on the viewers perspective.

I think your hanging on the word "opinion" too much. I'm not debating people opinions being right or wrong.

I'm debating the type of argument people are choosing to have regarding whether they liked or disliked the film.

People that disliked the film say why they disliked it.

People that liked the film can't seem to understand why people disliked it to the point of dismissing them as fanboys that are stuck in the past.

I think a BIIIIIIG part of the reason why this whole discussion on people liking or disliking the movie has to do with how the movie ended.

Whether you liked or disliked TFA the ending left you wanting more and wondering what exactly was going to happen next. So people quickly moved on from "It felt too much like A New Hope" to "Is Rey going to become Evil?? Who is Snoke?? Where are the Knights of Ren??" etc.

TLJ doesn't really leave you with anything. No real questions for the future of the Saga. So people are just going to sit on the fact that this movie didn't quite deliver for them for the next 2 years until the trailer for 9 comes out.

I think theories are good for the franchise and they are one of the reasons the hype for The Last Jedi never really died between movies. But I think they missed a huge opportunity with how they ended TLJ and I think it will bite them big when they try to get people exciting for the next chapter.

Finn wasn't PAWGin. Rey friendzoned his ass like a motherfukker.

That's ultimately my biggest problem with this movie. Finn serves NO purpose. His whole subplot with Rose amounted to absolutely nothing in the context of the rest of the film, and should have been cut out. That was just an hour of wasted time.

Apparently they were gonna kill Poe Dameron in The Force Awakens until Oscar Isaac begged them not to, and Finn's role was supposed to be what Poe's role was in this movie, and it shows. Poe acts like a hotheaded dumbass for most of this movie, then Finn does when he wants to destroy the cannon on the salt planet, and it would have made sense because Finn didn't have that type of military training or expertise. Plus he would have been so hotheaded because he was trying to try anything to get back to Rey.

Speaking of which, whatever they plan on doing with Finn and Rey, the need to end that shyt immediately in the next film. I don't want a drawn out "Let's be friends" talk, or some stupid love triangle with Rose, just end it. This nikka really woke up from a fukking coma like, "Where da white women at? Where's Rey?" Like damn, nikka, she ain't even let you hit. And before she told Chewbacca to send that message to him, I was like, Rey is not thinking about this dude at all.

I was trying to defend Finn after Force Awakens, but this dude is one of the most disappointing characters ever.

watched this flick again today...its like a 3/5..it has some really cool moments..some pure bullshyt...and some even worse...

Finn's storyline was trash again...worse than Force Awakens this time around...

Finally watched. Amazing special effects, cinematography, and sound..... but it was trash story wise. What the fukk are these dudes even at war with each other for? How is the First Order still powerful as fukk when their Death Star was destroyed in TFA? Why is the Why was the purple haired chick who looked like she was going out for dinner and drinks given such an important role and a heroes role at that? Who is she and how did she earn something like that? Rey is still too good at everything she does and touches with no type of training whatsoever in anything. The comedy was bad timing and they took too much from The Empire Strikes Back. Its almost like a line from Ether but twisted around a bit, "How many of the originals are gonna come out yo fat lips nicca". Luke even didn't give two shyts about seeing Chewie and R2D2 for the first time in decadesKylo Ren wanna be down for every set and neighborhood and shyt. I love how that purple haired bytch showed up on screen with some big reveal music, like smack who is this bytch? Goddamn so many parts of this movie kind of ruined the really great parts...
