I think it is.

However, the role appears to have been changed. There was a report that the new roles were being minimized to focus on the established characters (Rey, Finn, Poe, Kylo). This is what the rewrites were focused on.

They went through all types of actresses, and the last rumor was that it went to an "unknown asian actress" (And this was the same rumor that said the role was going to be smaller).

So if it's fukk the franchise why are you still invested in the news?

It's all just entertainment.... Most of the popular media has racism/prejudice/bias against blacks.

I still *liked* TFA mind you...I hated what the did to Finn, but the movie is structurally sound. 7/10

Agreed. He is an improved version of jar jar and obviously the crowds enjoyed his loveable incompetence and comic relief. Every movie needs their loveable loser to lighten the mood.

With episode 8 being darker the audience will definitely need Finn stumbling and bumbling the entire movie more than ever, to maintain some levity.
