I don't know why this hasn't been talked about much in this thread (I only just found this out last week), but Maisie Richardson-Sellers from "The Originals" is gonna be in this movie:

I don't know how big her role in these new "Star Wars" movies is gonna, but it had to be big enough that she told the producers on "The Originals" to kill off her character this season despite the fact she was a major recurring character that was looking likely to be bumped up to a regular.

Ummmmm....I'm confused. How did you come to the conclusion that Maisie's character is related to Finn?

As for her being hotter than Lupita, is it because her skin is light and her hair is ratty/stringy? Its strange how black women can't be beady but if the hair is straightened it can look a mess and be alright.

Well we haven't been here before. His enthusiasm sold the new trilogy for people who were originally like meh blockbuster.

People are going to be legitimately disappointed if he doesn't have a lot to do with the story.

Well.... Depends. Was Maisie cast before or after Boyega? Boyegas part was originally like Bens in Night of the Living Dead. And the person mentioned in the spoiler was an alleged possible ancestor for Finn. That's why I drew that conclusion. But again depends on when she was cast.

As for Lupita its cool she does nothing for you, but Maisie is a basic mulatto with stringy hair/relaxer/weave. Maisie doesn't get to be hotter for being whiter.

He's reacting this way because he's a major Star Wars fan and this is his first enormous role that he has landed at 23 and after minor ones so far outside of Attack the Block

Only reason I'm giving them a pass is because the young gawd Finn is gonna swag something serious in this trilogy

Lupita is in an odd spot career wise...

She has the obvious handicaps that we don't even need to mention (Racial issues, and this is the biggest hurdle, but we already know about that). But...she's also like 31, has an accent (Can't play even most black roles without her accent needing to be explained away), and her most famous role was her playing a slave...certainly not the "young ingenue" entrance that most actresses want to make.

Oddly enough, and this is what's bizarre, she also seems to have slightly fallen into that Sienna Miller/Kate Bosworth clothes-hanger/style icon over actress void. I think she went to Cannes this year *just* promoting a dress. She gets lots of magazine covers and such, and the girl *can* dress and make-up her ass off, but that career path leaves you...well, like Miller/Bosworth.

To be fair...she also may have been too picky for her own good. She's always rumored to be involved in some project and then turning it down. I think she should try to hook up with Shonda/Daniels and try to get a guest spot on Scandal/Empire or something. That would give her a nice jolt, she'd reach wider audiences...could probably try to volley for a guest-spot emmy or something.

how did I know you were going to write that...There is a difference between a spontaneous act of jubilation and filming every reaction you have in the lead up to a tentpole movie, craftly placing it on social media if you can't see it whatever

why didn't we see one bit of social media when he starred alongside 12 years a slave in one of the only rare Nigerian made movies not produced by nollywood. Like I said he is giving this white owned franchise too much prestige while diminishing his self worth
