star trek 2009 has a higher rating on rotton tomatoes than Glory, reviews are a joke in this age

those star trek movies are awful, colorful, but awful once again trekkies will support anything star trek and overrate it

there is nothing remotely memorable about any of those two movies

the plot and story behind both star trek movies were absolutely ridiculous but the characters all came off strong and they were both feel good roller coaster rides. twists, turns, action, suspense... pure popcorn entertainment.

now take that same director, pair him up with the guy that wrote empire strikes back, and let them play in the star wars sandbox.

also at this point i think we can rule out avengers 2 from the discussion. star wars will probably trump it.

the question now is what movie will gross more, star wars... or BVS.

i know the knee jerk reaction is to answer star wars but if that last trailer for BVS delivers... all bets are off.

Star Wars will sit at the box office longer without competition from Dec thru February compared to BvS that will have Civil War a month later

Keep in mind that the final trailer for BVS will be attached to Star Wars, so everyone is gonna see that trailer.

If it's an amazing trailer... there's really no telling what could happen.

I'm gonna say Star Wars beats it, but I wouldn't bet everything on it. No one thought Jurassic world would gross as much as it did.
