:ohhh: didn't even think of the limb thing effecting his power

you would think the emperor would make him 2nd in charge regardless.. "thinking" they were the last two in the universe with the force and he knew darth's power and legend

but if he thought he was weak too, he might have handed out that demotion

I don't think Tarkin ruled over Vader absolutely, he was just in control of the Death Star and Vader respected that. Remember Tarkin/Anakin go back to the Clone Wars.

If Vader felt that Tarkin was overstepping I'm pretty sure he would throw him in the bushes, even when he stopped choking the other cac Vader was quite casual "as you wish :mjlol:", he was just having fun out there.

I see it was Tarkin being the Iovine and Vader on some Suge Knight shyt - yeah Iovine owns the label (Death Star) and Suge respected that because it brought in the money, but Suge had power on another level.

It's also comparable to BANE in the last Batman movie, when that rich cac starts cussing at him and Bane just puts his hand on his shoulder.

Rich dude: "....I gave you a fortune :mjcry:"

Bane: "And you think that gives you power over me?"

Reason #73 as to why the prequels are shyt. Apparently "ancient religions" are 20 years old and everyone forgets about the huge Jedi council

No, it makes sense. There were 20.000 Jedi in a universe of trillions. Qui-Gon was surprised that Anakin knew about Jedi on Tattooine.

By the time of Episode III there were like 10.000 Jedi left.

Ask a random person about Tibetans and see how knowledgeable they are, ask them about Shiite vs Sunni Muslims :francis:

Americans couldn't even tell Iraq from a map when you invaded the damn country :mjlol:

Add in 20 years of Empire propaganda to that.

Yep pretty much the sith and emperor wiped out there whole fukking order... From top to bottom. Also to begin with there wasn't a lot of Jedi in numbers anyways. People probably just let their memory fade away in time. But the good thing is the Jedi fell into legend. Even han knew of them but didn't believe in it wholeheartedly...

Exactly. Jedi were just glorified cops to a lot of people. Remember in Episode II when Anakin is chasing down that bounty hunter, he just casually tells people "Jedi business, go back to your drinks" and they move on.

They didn't really see them do shyt except for that flash of a second where Obi-Wan cuts off her/it's hand.

That's probably the most interaction the average citizens would have with a Jedi. They never really flaunted their abilities.

Like it the most out of all the prequels. Caught the midnight release showing for it too.

Anakin shouldn't tried his luck :to:

revenge of the sith was good. I definitely fukked with it. only prequel I didn't like was episode one. and that was cuz of jar jar binks, and that fukking race which seemed to take up about 45 minutes of the film.

episode 2 and 3 were good despite hayden's :trash: acting in both.

Anakin was a slave in the outer rim, so it would be more surprising for him to know

So we're comparing Tibetans and Shiites to peace-keeping wizards with super powers and laser swords? That protected the galaxy for thousands of years? And were an integral part of Coruscant?

The imperial officer who mentions the "ancient religion" and got choked would have been at least a teenager when all the Order 66 shyt would have went down, so it doesn't really make sense

We're talking 20 goddamn years though. Does your memory fade of Michael Jordan and Only Built 4 Cuban Linx? 100 years might be believable, but not when people are still alive and would have witnessed it.

shyt, they even put the Jedi Council building in Coruscant scenes at the end of ROTJ for the Blu Ray release

Ask a person on the other side of the world bout Cuban Linx :mjlol: Jordan they might know but they know the IMAGE.

Same with the Jedi, they knwo OF the Jedi but they think it was just a bunch of religious people. Tarkin was on the Emperor's side from the jump so he writes them off like :scust: but he knew about Obi-Wan. That's why he basically told Vader if he's really here we have to kill him.

The point still stands - 20.000 Jedi at the time of Phantom Menace, all located on Coruscant. The Jedi Council was 12 Jedi or something. A universe of trillions breh.

The BR ROTJ ending did add Coruscant, but then we don't really see Coruscant in the old trilogy - I'm sure people on Coruscant are more aware of the Jedi, just like you and I are more aware of Cuban Linx/Jordan.

I'm not sure what alternative you wanted - Tarkin describes them as an ancient religion, and we know Vader was a grown ass Jedi who turned on them and killed them at some poin. There was never going to be a big timelapse between that happeneing and Episode IV. You're taking an insult from Tarkin and blaming the prequels for not taking place in ancient times?

If anything this means the original Star Wars fukked up - as they pretty much give us a rough timeline with Obi-Wan establishing Vader as his pupil who ended the Jedi Order :yeshrug:

Coruscant was only integral in the prequels because we had to see how the Emperor took over the Republic, it's one planet out of endless.

It's like expecting Chinese villagers to be totally aware of what the FBI is doing (and that would be even more likely if we're talking relative numbers).

The Jedi powers don't mean that much as we know for a fact that they don't go out and showcase all their abilities. We saw Anakin/Obi-Wan chasing that bounty hunter, they weren't levitating shyt no nothing - they just outsmarted her. Nobody down there saw them wielding any powers except for one second of a lightsaber.
