I agree. When he threw JJ's outline for TLJ in the trash and then proceed to sabotage the 9th film with bullshyt pointless deaths to make his film different and more memorable and taking so many great options off the table for the last film. I don't want his ego near Star Wars to be honest and his writing was super lackluster. TLJ had so many better options than being a 2 hour chase scene with annoying side-plot with lazy in your face message of the casino planet.
Pretty sure those writers are for a different project. Johnson was gonna write his own trilogy. I guess that is thing when you don't want to play nice with others or the story arch they crafted. They'll give you 3 films to fukk it up on your own.
Opposite breh. They give you three movies to do on your own with that much money because they like what you did with the first. Fandom may be split on it but the people who write the checks aren’t and it’ll all continue in the direction they see fit until all of fandom, not just the ones on the internet, but every single one gets on the same page and the movies stop printing money.
The promo for solo has barely even established what the movie is about other than a young Han solo and young characters we know. And the shyt is about to break a Memorial Day record. That’s crazy to think about. And if shyt like that keeps happening it’ll just prove to Lucasfilm and Disney that it’s only a vocal minority upset at their direction and they’ll be cool with that.
Not taking one side or the other on the issue since I’ve said how I feel about last Jedi, but just stating the reality of the situation
