I can't actually disagree with this particular statement. It's true that a "Rated PG" movie from 1980 like Empire Strikes Back would be rated PG-13 today even without any changes. (And if you go back further, the "G" rated "Planet of the Apes" would ALSO be PG-13 today).

But the original trilogy was STILL aimed at a younger crowd than Andor.
I don't need every show to be Andor
I just really think Filoni is overrated
Ppl complain about Kathleen Kennedy but goofy fan service times a million isn't the solution either

Look at Rebels...was a big step down from The Clone Wars
Only hit its stride in the last season

I'm one of the few people who prefer the 2D animated "Clone Wars" over the CGI "The Clone Wars", but I still think Filoni should have a leading role in shaping the direction of Star Wars.

Finished it. Very dope, not surprising coming from Gilroy and the cast involved.

I did feel the final episode seemed a bit rushed, some of the editing was off and they definitely pushed the empire's stupidity to incredulous levels with the blond commander letting the speech go on for its entirety.

All in all, best Star Wars anything since the OG trilogy.

Seen the first 2 eps of this with my girl and while I thought it was really high quality stuff, it didn't catch her eye, so I'll be watching this alone at some point later on

It really takes off in episode 3. I thought the first 2 eps were good but a little slow.

Just finished this. Lived up to the hype.

They did a great job capturing the scale of how big and intimidating the empire is and how helpless the rebels felt.

Luna and Stellan were great but the actresses who portrayed the senator and woman ISB officer were brilliant.
