I was 11 or 12..I saw it once and was bored to tears until the ship sank and then i got interested. told my girlfriend at the time that id only come if i can bring my game gear to play in case i get bored. Sonic triple trouble got a lot of attention
avatar came out when 3D was getting mad hype, and the ticket price was double the price when titanic came out.
Also there were legit people escaping real life by watching avatar several times because they wanted to stay in that "world"
In terms of G.O.A.T. titanic still wins, it made 1 bill when regular ticket prices and with a good story

Ok but never underestimate the fan base. When the next movie rolls out and ppl see a more fleshed out story dont be surprised. Just because you and me may not feel that way doesn't mean the core wont. This reminds me of Ep3
Well it's about more than the fanbase for this one. This one went beyond the fan base. I just don't see it having the same impact but hey, i could be wrong
Like i said this one had thots and basic bytches who know nothing about star wars posting from the theater on their social media so they could be a part of the event. That won't happen again
