Honestly all 3 of those movies don't deserve those top 3 spots. I honestly like Star Wars the least the more I think about it. They pulled the okie done on me I went in for the Character Ginn Only FOR Him To Be THE BUTT OF JOKES throughout the whole movie.
uh oh, be careful now :lupe:

Can't call a movie over hyped if it was doing numbers for months after it initially came out. Titanic was a love story so women kept going back :manny: Avatar had a generic story that took place using revolutionary technology. I think Gone with the Wind is overrated but it's considered a classic and still #1 when adjusted for inflation. I just didn't think Star Wars was as good as people say. I think the sequels should be better so long as they don't use the same throw back paying homage to the first trilogy vibe.
Someone else pointed out elsewhere that Gone With The Wind was rereleased I theatres for damn near 40 years, and that's why it's box office is so inflated. So a bunch of white women would go see that shyt multiple times on some generational shyt until finally it was broadcast on TV.

After seeing the movie, Finn is respectful.

And his fight scenes with that stormtrooper with the
anti light saber weapon as well as Kylo were well done. He knew how to wield that shyt.

Rey was cool put she was all over the place in that Kylo fight. Like watching those females in Into the Badlands fight. Her win was preordained, not organic. And Kylo was definitely holding back. He wanted to train her and told her so.

So I'm thinking what if he wanted Finn alive, but in pain, too? He could have killed Finn. But he didn't. What if he wanted Finn to instinctively channel the dark side let it fester?

:manny:

then again this new star wars movie was a reboot of the new hope so

:manny:
It was a reboot of IV and V. Someone else pointed out there
was no celebration ceremony.

Abrams is a hack. But it was a good hack.

You know what I would have even liked the movie a tad bit more if while Rey was fighting Kylo Ren and she was about to be defeated and he got in the way sacrificing himself and gave her the opportunity to win the fight at least that would have giving him one final heroic moment, but the fact that he went out like he did and Rey put in work while I was sold that he was gone put in work too really made me dislike the movie the more I think about it.

Avatar didn't deserve it :yeshrug:
so I guess Titanic didn't either? This is what you plebs fail to realize, James Cameron is a genius. He creates EXPERIENCES with his movies, experiences that people will want to participate in multiple times and tell everyone about it. Lets take titanic, incredibly generic melodramatic love story, yet it's one of the highest grossing films in cinema history, why is that? Cameron literally fukking RECREATED the titanic on film and we get to fukking witness it sink. Again, it's the technical prowess of Cameron at work here. No other film worker would've gone through the painstaking measures Cameron took on Titanic. The scene where the the Captain goes down with the ship is one of the craziest scenes in cinema history. In Avatar, he creates a completely alien planet and immerses us all in it through the incredible use of 3D. Cameron pushes the technical limits of film-making with every film he creates and that's why he has such incredible financial success, it's all deserved.

Except Rey
didn't put in the work Finn did. Finn was a better light saber wielder. Rey was flailing all over the place. Finn hurt Kylo before Kylo hurt Finn. That's when Kylo knew he has to get serious.

Also, before Rey fought Kylo she got force choked and swung into a fukking tree, knocked the fukk out. Finn didn't. Why didn't Kylo do the same to Finn? He had to brute force Finn, NOT use force powers. Finn held his own very well.

I guess that's its own question: Kylo uses Force bullshyt on everybody except Han and Finn. Why?

Also, I think Poe is force sensitive/resistent. He held out too long while being interrogated.

Regarding the rest, which I agree with, I'm hoping they do right by Finn in VIOI and IX. But its cacs, so....

I first thought it was ok but after a lil reflection it was a solid 7.5. Nothing great but wasn't garbage. That being said it deserves to be on top and imagine what ep 8 and 9 will do?

Not the same. The novelty will wear off. This is the first star wars flick in a decade and the first sequel in 30 years. They might all be on the top 10 list when its all said and done though

The complaints would even be louder if the black dude sacrificed himself for the white chick in the first movie after he was promoted so much
