Starfleet academy show now believed to be a Disco spinoff happening after the events of Discovery season 5, so no more canon issues. Tilly will be an instructor.

I disagree...
Season 1: finally got the klingon war with a military commander to boot, wasn't crazy about the mirror universe but oh well.
Season 2: other than the first episode, it falls into typical rise of the machine storyline, it's bad.
Season 3: shot to the future, made it a point to be spare as to give a middle finger to canon, it's bad
Season 4: the epitome of science fiction, a Jovian storyline, answers the age old "Anthills in Africa " question posed in the movie Contact. The best of nouveau Trek
Way better than Strange new Worlds and the first two Seasons of Picard

The obsession with saying this is "way better than SNW" is just fukking strange. Picard S3 wasn't even that good and definitely not touching SNW.

Season 1: most crew involvement
Season 2: Micheal and Pike do 65% of the work, crew window dressing
Season 3 and 4: Pretty much all Michael and Book.
