It's sad since I grew up on Final Fantasy and it remained my favorite series until after 10.

As far as the Megami series I played the majority of the games thanks to my own collection and thanks to fan translations. I stopped after Shin Megami Tensei Nocturne. Which I loved. Nothing else peaked my interest.

0 classics in 15 years. Best game in the franchise the last 15 years has been a psp game. They used to release classics yearly.

And all I was really saying was that square needs new mechanics, enemies, game play etc etc. How many damn times I gotta fight a Marlboro and shyt. Square has new generation heads at the top now, they should make their own fresh ideas instead of rehashing what the old legends did. With this and the fact that they're ruining the legacy off FF with mediocre games, I still think division one at SE should start a fresh JRPG ip.

But to be fair 15 looks very fresh and looks dope so we shall see.

For the record, Microsoft holds the rights to those two titles (Blue Dragon and Lost Odyssey) so any sequel would be Xbox exclusive. To fill a void, its a no brainer. Sony will be getting there share of exclusives in that genre. Can't wait...

Looking at the response to FFXV this thread was fukking on point

Not because its not a good game, in my opinion it's a GREAT game. People just have bad will towards FF now. XIII and it's sequels just did THAT much damage to it. Too many people want it to fail and/or not giving it the proper chance it deserves. It's the best FF since X but there's just too much nitpicking on this game. It's so ambitious and it does so many things great that it should easily overwhelm the flaws. But everywhere you go on the internet all people want to talk about are the flaws. shyt is sad. I hope Square retires FF with XV and starts a new IP.

I wouldn't mind a Parasite Eve remake or something similar. Bushido Blade would be lovely to see in this new generation. FFXV is pretty damn good it has it's problems camera wise but overall enjoyable.
