Looking at the response to FFXV this thread was fukking on point
Not because its not a good game, in my opinion it's a GREAT game. People just have bad will towards FF now. XIII and it's sequels just did THAT much damage to it. Too many people want it to fail and/or not giving it the proper chance it deserves. It's the best FF since X but there's just too much nitpicking on this game. It's so ambitious and it does so many things great that it should easily overwhelm the flaws. But everywhere you go on the internet all people want to talk about are the flaws. shyt is sad. I hope Square retires FF with XV and starts a new IP.
Cacs just want to see Japanese games die because they're used to story driven wack action titles like Witcher and skyrim.
Square needs to take final fantasy a little more serious and make a world that can make more interesting side quests. It's what's in between the main story that has people bytching because a lot of it is so light hearted.
But you cant win with cacs.
Make the game open world without gta level activities they say it's barren.
Make a traditional open world and they say it's not open world enough.
Make side quests without epic storyline they're to many fetch quests.
Monsters hunts people bytching that it's like monster hunter.
Going to be hard for square to win among the cynical fans without more serious writers.
Doesn't help that they make games where the characters look like whites.
XV not going to be the last FF and FF 16 about to take FF to the next LV, keep the same combat as XV but add more magic and make sure summons are not OP, give us the chance to have a Black mage/white mage and a better story and we good
