Exactly people acting like the nba isn't a business . TNT pays them big money for these games and they going to want more money when they reup :upsetfavre:
People using the fact that they don't care about the spurs to cloud the fact this was a :troll: move by pop. Why won't dantoni rest the laker stars on Christmas Day cause they older and want to stay home with they family

True but these weirdos don't care about that. Its all f*ck Stern.. but at the same everybody loves the NBA on TNT, ESPN, ABC, NBA TV, local FOX/Comcast broadcast, NBA League Pass, etc. Niccas complaining now, just imagined how shyt would be if we only got that one tape delayed playoff game at midnight twice a week like how the league was when Stern first took over some 30+ odd years ago. I'm not a big Stern fan myself but cotdamn people need to have some perspective once in a while :snoop:

Im assuming you didn't read sterns statement he clearly indicated it being a early season game and them being sent home was a major reason as well. Why do you clown keep bringing up end of the season games :heh:
I read Pops statement, it was enough for me :manny:

Lol, I know right. shyt lets say you spend $500 on some lakers tickets and Kobe doesn't even show up. nikkas would be mad as hell lol. This was San Antonio's only time playing in Miami this season. Pop was just being a prick by doing this. Yeah we'll play our stars vs Orlando and Washington, two of the worst teams in the league and sit them out vs the Heat. :comeon:

This is fukking ridiculous. I ain't reading thru all these posts but anyone backing this decision can go fukk themselves. Stern should not be able to dictate things like this, its sets a horrible and undeveloped precedent that has soooooooo many loopholes. What happens if the Heat sit the big 3 at the end of the season once they wrap up the 1 seed? It would be for the same reason Pop did it. I mean this exact situation plays out every end of the season for teams. Why has it never been addressed??? How can you issue a massive fine with any warning???

Sitting your top players the last 2 games of the season for rest once you have your seeding locked up is the same as sending your players home during a regular season game in November?

Theoretically, yes. Pop said they needed rest and he was concerned about injuries. Stern has set a precedent that is impossible to objectively enforce. The fact that there was no warning either... :heh:

Oh so instead of resting them against the fukking awful Magic and Wizard, he rests them during one of the bigger primetime games of the season huh? Stop defending that shyt.

So we would be cool with players not coming to games just because a coach said they needed rest? What precedent would that set?

D'Antoni and Spo lets their stars stay home Christmas because they were up the night before shopping and they needed rest.

People get mad at Stern for not forcing guys to do the dunk contest but then get pissed because he's forcing guys to show up to regular season games in November?

I don't even think it would be as big a deal if he just sat Duncan, but he sat 3 out of his 5 starters, inclduing a 25 and 30 year old and another "star" in Ginobili.
