I was out after the Nakamura call up, because for the most part, I felt like NXT's strength was the roster rather than the booking, and I didn't really think they could get their hands on a bigger or more interesting name than him.

I missed all of the Black/Dream/DIY/ Andrade/ Undisputed Era wave, which people seemed to really like.

Their actual creative decline, from what I've heard/read started when they changed from a weekly pre-recorded one hour show to a two hour live show with the roster they had at the time.

Na, Andrade and Gargano held it down after.

For me, I stopped caring during Cole’s reign.

This. It was very hard for me to buy Cole as a dominant champion for a place that rarely has them.

Outside of that.... I think the move to USA kind of hurt them as well as the bad habit of calling up certain acts before they should have been (i.e. American Alpha).

NXT was NEVER bad programming from the point I started tuning in but on the WWE Network, that shyt was appointment viewing. Now I just record it and get to it whenever I get to it.

I was never a hardcore NXT watcher but I would keep up with what was going on and check out the Takeovers usually. The last one I remember even seeing was Drew vs. Andrade. That was like what 3 years ago?
