Funny thing is I don't disagree with the criticism of the lack of black talent involved in major angles.

I'm just not down with some folks trying to act like AEW is the KKK or some shyt.
Nobody’s acting like they’re the KKK but I’m not about to ignore a glaring issue and pretend that their most prominent stars aren’t overwhelmingly white. There wasn’t one black man featured on last nights card so they had to put Mark Henry(who wasn’t on the show at all) on the poster to fill a diversity quota. It’s a huge thing that they need to fix and a big part in why their audience will continue to be what it is and not grow much no matter how many smark favorites they sign. And that isn’t to say AEW is doing bad or is putting out a bad product, they’re doing amazing and they’re bringing excitement but it isn’t a crime to point out one flaw that needs to be improved upon.
And AEW has more black talents slated for bigger pushes in season 3 with Starks, Hobbs, Jade, and Dante. WWE has Big E Omos and we’ll see with Bianca
Lol huh? Dante had one showcase against Omega/The Bucks and was right back off tv and is back teaming with his brother doing nothing. Y’all did this same thing when Private Party beat The Bucks 2 years ago now they’re jobbers and lackeys for Matt Hardy. Hobbs and Starks “big push” is yet to be seen, they’re in the middle of a feud with Brian Cage over an imaginary championship. Jade is being carefully built I’ll give you that but everything else is a huge reach.

To act like that’s better than the year Bianca’s had prior to Summerslam is wild. Carmelo Hayes and Odyssey Jones just headlined the breakout tournament, Hit Row is the best faction on NXT with Swerve holding a title. Lashley is literally the WWE champ, Sasha is literally one of their biggest stars. Apollo was just IC champ, Street Profits are in a feud with the Usos for the titles. It is really not comparable.

It's really not that big a deal.

They were mad about moxley and I'm sure they are sour about Danielson. It is what it is with CM Punk

The rest of these guys jumping over are seen as expendable. They kept adam Cole on the show they insisted on calling developmental. When I said the undisputed era is the goat WWE stable, the Coli told me they don't count.

I should've posted this here.

Im speaking in terms of upward mobility, Starks is the star of team taz now and he can be big if they nail the face turn. Hobbs has not much in his way in terms of big men and he went over Cage so he will have a better spot by default. Dante Martin had the top guys in the company put him over after months of great work so I only see that growing. Lashley is 45 and I credit wwe and him for his run and Big E is gonna take his place and Omos is presumably on his way to the main event. Apollo and Street Profits I don’t see doing much going forward. Apollo has no storyline and tag team wrestling in general is thin in WWE. Neither are better off today than a year ago. I’m withholding opinions on Nxt future until they do the reboot

Lol @ people rushing AEW to push black wrestlers, knowing dam well they don't have any top-level black talent.

All because the WWE finally decided to give black wrestlers a push after 70 years.
What do Jungle Boy, MJF, Danny Garcia, Darby Allin and Sammy Guevara do that Hobbs, Starks, Lee Johnson, Carlie Bravo, Shawn Dean, Lee Moriarty, Top Flight, or Private Party cant?

This black wrestler thing is just a crutch to shyt on the product since their isn’t much else to gripe about

It’s the easiest thing to triple down on
You nikkas love to deflect and act like AEW is above constructive criticism without it being hate. Nobody is trying to fukking nitpick for the sake of shytting on AEW. The thread asks what WWE could do going forward and I pointed out one of the two things(the other being booking women) that they currently have over AEW that they could lean on.

I like AEW, I watch Dynamite weekly, CM Punk is my favorite wrestler of all time behind The Rock. As a black fan I have the right to voice a concern and point out that there is a lack of representation for someone like me. You dismissing a legit concern as some “crutch to shyt on AEW” is wild.

It’s not a crime to point out things that need to be improved upon in order for AEW to continue to flourish in the future and hit on all cylinders.

Or you know...we'd actually like to see representation

Black "EVP" only in name bc she likes white dikk, short hair flippy gay nikka, transexual that injures actual women, Hobbs & Starks that are afterthoughts at the moment

Only in that company is being black the gimmick

It's a legit argument but let's keep it real, we're talking about a two year old company that's JUST beginning to hit their stride for real for real.

There's news of Vince holding am emergency meeting but I don't know if it's confirmed. If true they're definitely realizing that a legitimate contender with unlimited creative freedom is on their asses. If only ROH could join the party...Gresham vs. Bryan :ohlawd:

Here’s the thing about representation. Of course we all want it. It’s a legitimate gripe, but that doesn’t change the fact that you guys cling onto it as a crutch to bash these nikkas

The sole purpose of the show is to be good. Never once in my life have I saw a match and thought “Wow, that was great. Would have been 5 stars but neither competitor was black so I have to knock it down to 3”

:sas1:

its fukking wrestling b. You nikkas turning into Farrakhan over wrestling shows is disingenuous as fukk. Y’all don’t care. Literally only pretending to because it’s something easy to knock em on.

Idk about that brodie...I'm an old school dude that's borderline Generation X(1982) and my first favorite wrestlers as a kid were Koko B Ware and Bad News Brown(aside from Randy Savage). Representation matters breh.
