Nobody’s acting like they’re the KKK but I’m not about to ignore a glaring issue and pretend that their most prominent stars aren’t overwhelmingly white. There wasn’t one black man featured on last nights card so they had to put Mark Henry(who wasn’t on the show at all) on the poster to fill a diversity quota. It’s a huge thing that they need to fix and a big part in why their audience will continue to be what it is and not grow much no matter how many smark favorites they sign. And that isn’t to say AEW is doing bad or is putting out a bad product, they’re doing amazing and they’re bringing excitement but it isn’t a crime to point out one flaw that needs to be improved upon.Funny thing is I don't disagree with the criticism of the lack of black talent involved in major angles.
I'm just not down with some folks trying to act like AEW is the KKK or some shyt.
Lol huh? Dante had one showcase against Omega/The Bucks and was right back off tv and is back teaming with his brother doing nothing. Y’all did this same thing when Private Party beat The Bucks 2 years ago now they’re jobbers and lackeys for Matt Hardy. Hobbs and Starks “big push” is yet to be seen, they’re in the middle of a feud with Brian Cage over an imaginary championship. Jade is being carefully built I’ll give you that but everything else is a huge reach. And AEW has more black talents slated for bigger pushes in season 3 with Starks, Hobbs, Jade, and Dante. WWE has Big E Omos and we’ll see with Bianca
To act like that’s better than the year Bianca’s had prior to Summerslam is wild. Carmelo Hayes and Odyssey Jones just headlined the breakout tournament, Hit Row is the best faction on NXT with Swerve holding a title. Lashley is literally the WWE champ, Sasha is literally one of their biggest stars. Apollo was just IC champ, Street Profits are in a feud with the Usos for the titles. It is really not comparable.
