Reasonable Doubt to me is a Top 5 Hip Hop album IMO. The vivid imagery, the focus, the storylines, the production, the lyrics, the hustling spirit. Makes me wanna grind so hard an make a million after listening to it
Besides Reasonable Doubt, Vol 1, and The Black Album, all of his albums are actually UNLISTENABLE. Kingdom Come had 4 or 5 good songs on it though. Let's be honest, I think Jay is the only rapper to have that much of a dropoff from classic albums to damn near unlistenable albums. It's kinda funny. But the 3 great albums keeps him in the GOAT talks I guess
I may be in the minority, but I think Blueprint is overrated. It sounds like a lackluster rendition of Ghost's Supreme Clientele. Ghost's lyrics shined on those soul beats, Jay on the other hand got outshined by the beats
