Actors rarely just pop up out of nowhere. They toil away with small character roles,going mostly unnoticed.

Then they get that one role,that suddenly the actor becomes not just a person but THAT person to you.

Now,this varies from person to person. In what movie did an actor click with you where you suddenly recognize them in anything?


I'll lead with 3 examples.


Michael Fassbender In Prometheus. I had seen him before,but he never stood out to me or become recognizable.

But his role in this was

By far the star of the film.



Gerard Butler In 300


Despite what his career turned into,he was fukking amazing in this movie.



Dane Dehaan In Amazing Spider Man 2

I know for a lot of people it would be chronicle but all I remembered about that film was Michael b. Jordan for some reason. I loved dane as Harry,he played that entitled rich boy well,and I thought he had just the right amount of creepyness to him. After this movie he was dane for me.

Brad Pitt in Troy, that's when it really clicked for me. Like I knew about Brad Pitt but I didn't really see him as any different from countless other male actors until I saw him on that role.

Little did I know that I had already seen him in some films previously like Batman Returns and Sleepy Hollow, but after I saw that music video, I became a huge fan.
