I think Singapore is in my opinion

-Extremely high development index
-Low crime, drug trafficking is essentially non-existent
-One of the cleanest countries in the world
-Country was founded with multiculturalism and diversity as core tenets
-Very high literacy rate and top education system
-One of the top nations in life expectancy and healthcare rankings
-Strongest passport in the world, always tops the list for most countries permitted without visa

You pull up any random infographic on country rankings and Singapore is usually in the top. I'd exchange my US citizenship for Singaporean citizenship in a heartbeat.

I guess one flaw would be that they have a bit of an authoritarian government. Censorship issues, single party rule, protesting discouraged, etc. And I've read that they have a cost of living problem like many extremely developed nations. Running out of land too.

If you're an established professional with 10+ years experience and a family or intending to start one, New Zealand. If you are a young professional, I'd say Australia.

Switzerland and Mongolia seem great to be honest.

Seems like you can be a modern city person or a nomad (if you can brace the weather). Very one with nature culture.
Additionally, they have a high "Freedom" score

Could care less if my country can blow up another country or not. I want a great, non-impeding quality of life the most.
Live and let live as long as you're not hurting anyone.
I'll always favor that.

I'm in Japan right now, and I'd have to say that they're better.

  1. Waaaay better Healthcare system.
  2. People are more unified... because the country is homogeneous, but you rarely have to worry about racism because they're equally weary of all foreigners regardless of skin color:mjlol:.
  3. Waaaay more safe.
  4. IF you work for an American company or the U.S. military, you get to completely bypass the shít work culture.
  5. Waaaaay healthier food.
  6. Government isn't actively trying to become a dictatorship.
  7. Public transportation... that is all that needs to be said.
  8. I'd argue that the nightlife might be better, honestly.
  9. More modern architecture and society.
  10. There's a better chance to standout there. You being able to speak English and Japanese fluently makes you one of the few that can do both. In fact, only 10% of the country can speak both languages.
America is only better in regard to socializing, diversity, security from outside rule, and a few others.

....
When you travel a lot …. a place or two will hit you ….you'll be wide eyed and infatuated with the place …and you’ll say - “…you know I could live here …”

Quality of life should be the only thing that matters. I mean, who really cares about best entertainers and athletes? Lol
Music is a big part of my life personally and most african-americans I know whether it's gospel, funk, R&B, Blues, Soul, Rap, etc. Music is a great way to regulate emotions. Not sure I want to live in a country or region where the predominate choice of music was let's say Polka or K-Pop or something else. But I'm a muscian so I may be bias.

With that said what country if any do you think is better than the USA Mr.Barker?

Pretty interesting regarding Freedom Scores.

For what it's worth America has dropped in score a lot over the years. About 7-8 years ago we were nearly at 90. Now a lot of countries have lapped.

The next few years are going to do a lot of damage to that score.

America has less political freedom than India and Israel :skip:

Yeah man I knew a few coli brehs would like Japan.

I know US sailors that get station in Japan and they have the time of their lives. Marines too it's stories about them getting Drunk and basically pissing off the locals. Dudes don't know how to act.

You mentioned food I feel that's very important is it a lot to choice from in Japan? I feel like for some reason it's mainly seafood but I could be wrong never been to Japan.

Norway and Switzerland. Although I'm sure that Switzerland kept all that Nazi gold and they are still known for their moral flexibility. Places like Australia, New Zealand, probably most of the EU. If you already live in a developed country, then USA is not exactly a settling down destination. It used to be in the 90s, but not anymore.

Places like Japan and South Korea are only fun for tourists.
