2005 is the biggest sales opportunity but something tells me that the diversity of features from later would be more beneficial to the album as a work of art. I'll say 2009.

Obviously there were essentially rumors of Detox dropping since I believe 2002 when Dr dre first discussed the album. There was Dre saying lookout for Detox on "westside story" by the game...there was em saying they were gonna make dre do it on ecore...obviously a million interviews, but when SHOULD he have?

I think you look at 3 time periods

The one that makes the most sense to me is late 2005, AFTERMATH was arguably at its height.. 50 had done diamond last 2 albums, eminem also, dr dre was still cranking out amazing beats like outta control remix, the game had had massive success with the documentary it was time. Dr dre gets prime 50, semi prime em, the game, nate dogg, snoop ect in this era:blessed:

. taste of this era

2nd option is late 2007/2009- I think in this era dre goes with bishop lamont he was pushing, eminem in relapse to recovery era which was his comeback...we saw i need a doctor drop in this era (pure ass to me)...... Nas, TI , add in snoop had some reference tracks:feedme:

3rd option is to me is 2018, slightly after Damn but before black panther soundtrack..kendrick and all TDE?:manny:

So what yall think? And who would you have liked to see on it in those eras that played a smaller part? Kokane? kurupt? suga free? Joe conner? When was indeal how WOULD you have liked to see it play out and what do you think about today?

hmm I would say '05 would've been glorious for shady/g-unit/aftermath
'07 would've been nice too as this is when Raekwon and Busta both dropped they albums with dre beats or signed to aftermath at the time

Anywhere from 2005 to 2009, maybe 2010. With the state hip hop was in back then, Dre could have easily had a standout project during those years.

Interestingly enough, Dre was working with Eminem on Relapse 2, but he left the project to finish Detox. Looking back, he should have stayed. :unimpressed:
