Brick City, NJ
Sex Drive (low key a very good coming of age flick)
Cindarella Man
The Italian Job (2002) (the Hulk sold out that day but I feel like I saw the better movie)
X-Men: First Class
Multiplicity (underrated Michael Keaton comedy)
Yes Man
Despicable Me (Pharell Soundtrack is very dope too, might be an arguable classic)

Get Smart - As a fan of the original I thought this would be an abomination. Steve Carrell's version of Max Smart was dead on, but also original. It paid enough homage to the original satire. It needs a sequel

Chronicles of Narnia: Voyage of the Dawn Treader - This is probably the best of the movies to me and it's not like they had much to go on with the book.

A-Team
X-Men: First Class - NO ONE expected this to be good

'Drive', I was like I'll just check this out, saw the previews, had little interest, and some review on a forum compared it with Michael Mann's earlier stuff, and that sold me, I was going to see something else, but I saw 'Drive', and, that was probably my movie of the year.

'Last Night', Keira Knightley, read a little preview of the movie in EW, saw it memorial day weekend, one of my favorites of the year.

'Celeste and Jesse Forever', just saw an Ebert review, and was between that and 'Lawless', went with that, and it's easily the best movie I've seen this year.

LOL at seeing 'Phantoms', Ben Affleck at his worst....that was 98 right, I remember that shyt, I saw 'Bats' in the theater, and what was the other one with a fukking sea monster....

the protector, back when it was known as tom yum goong, that sh1t blew me away, i knew it was going to be dope off the strength of ong bak but once the ass kicking comenced it kicked it into overdrive, my uncle was watching it with me, we were both like :krs:

The killer, my first jon woo movie, actually not really i take that back i saw hard target and didnt know he directed it, but man i wasnt expecting such and epic scorscesce meets casablanca style action movie.

the fifth element i thought it was going to be some standard sci fi action romp like totall recall, but man that movie was the sh1t, reminded me of blade runner and every anime i saw up untill that point, plus this was pg-13 and i was :gladbron: at the way luc besson combined foreplay into giving a girl the climax to that of taking off into space, chris tucker himself said he took a little bit from mj and a little bit from prince to get into the role of ruby rhod so during that scene its like hes performing one of princes funnyer but dirtier tracks in the vain of 'kiss' with its use of dramatic shifts and pauses so lol thats like one of my favorite scenes

Skeleton Key.

Going in, I thought this is just one of those "Kate Hudson" movie. But :whew:, was I wrong. When the hoodoo plot kicks in and that TWIST happens, I was :mindblown:

21 Jumpstreet, like everybody has already said. I remember getting it from Redbox cause it wasn't shyt out and we were stuck over my wife's aunts house without cable for a week, boy did we find a gem. When I cube showed up and started cussing everybody out I was done.

Finding Forester is another personal fave of mine. I was interested because the previews showed 2 of my favorite things writing and lit, and basketball, but I still didn't really know what to expect. But I love the way the had Jamal not on that dumb jock steez. When he sonned the fukk out of that pompous ass English teacher, :lawd:.
