I wouldn't mind it if I was able to pay 100% for everything...but its just hard to do nowadays.

I honestly think women who want this should seek for men who have high paying jobs and make sure they are able and willing to do this for them. Some women would find a man with an average paying job and still make him do this and he isnt able to do. Women who want this should seek men in the military, merchant seaman, or one who is educated but have a high paying position like a lawyer, doctor, in management or in medical field.

I have no problem with my wife staying at home, and taking care of the kids, and keeping the house clean.

I have no problem providing for her. But if she wants the Chanel bags, expensive shoes, nails, etc, then she can work part time.

Basic clothes, fine. I’ll even pay for her car insurance, gas, and cell phone. I’ll pay for the kids’ clothes.

I think having a stay at home mom is beneficial to the kids, and I’d prefer someone be at home when they get home to make sure they do their homework, and get picked up from extra curricular activities. And I will INSIST my children have extra curricular activities, whether it’s sports, music, dance, etc.

I think too many black men are too focused on a woman using us, and less on the quality of their family. We are the only group who cares about our women’s career. And I know it’s difficult for any family to live on one income, but we’re not doing well at home.

Even with good resources, your home life is important..

I’d also like to add, I’d love for my wife to stay home and raise the kids during their early ages, because that is when they are so impressionable. That is the opportune time to instill both our values, and not risk them picking up values from the outside.

My mom didn’t work until both my sister and I reached the ages of 4 and 5. With the cost of everything going up, it’s a lot harder now, but I believe we could make it work.

You conviniently leave out that the part that in most of these traditional households, the man has far more power and control over the woman's actions and spending and freetime etc.

Theres alot more fice and take than just "watch the kids"

If you look back even 50 years, almost all commercials were designed to appeal to men because men controlled spending.

Now, women control over 70% of spending in all 2 parent households.

I don't really approve/understand it but my brother has a traditional household (2 daughters, wife, pet rabbit, and a very nice house) and prob doesn't make more than $60k.
