White Turns to Gray is :

It’s interesting how you can be an excellent singer but if your songs are shyt no one will know. I’ll add Chante Moore and Lisa Fischer to that list.I personally disagree about Bilal being a better singer than D’Angelo and Maxwell. Sure Bilal can really sing, but I prefer how the two former use their voice over the latter.. and it’s a plus that they have stronger discographies too.
Have it! Range, dynamics, musicianship, etc are important. Then it comes down to what someone prefersMost people think range = being the best singer. But for me, it doesn’t work like that. But we’ll have that conversation when I’m ready.
Why do you think so many creative types struggle with drugs?I read this whole thread and nobody addressed the Elephant in the room which is WHY he was not as acclaimed as he could be.
Its because of his crippling heroin habit. Dangelo and Maxwell were said to be on drugs too but they made classics before the drugs took over
I think it's desperately trying to get out the red (advancement debt). Idk tbhWhy do you think so many creative types struggle with drugs?
