Well, this is the same board that said Will Smith has had a disappointing movie career. :yeshrug:

And to think I used to come to the Arcadium to get away from the over the top BS.

I can understand the others, but you're gonna give me shyt for Christopher Walken and Will Ferrell? :leostare:

Will Ferrell doesn't have great range but it's unfair to say he has NO range.

You can't tell me that the characters he does the exact same work in comedies that he does when he tries more dramatic work.

Ferrell's performance in "Everything must go" is slept on IMO.

How about Actors that do have range but choose to play the same character?

Liam Neeson and Will Smith both have shown they can play a lot of roles but choose action movie archetypes constantly instead.

He actually played a pretty different character in that movie where he hears the voice narrating his life story and finds out he's gonna die in a week or whatever. WTF was the name of that again?

"Stranger than Fiction"

It's a drama/comedy/fantasy film where he finds out he's just a character in some woman's series of books. He does a bit of comedy in that one, and has a bit of his usual shtick which is why I didn't mention that one.

"Everything Must go" he plays it completely straight though. I highly recommend that movie to anyone that hasn't seen it.

Most of the people he named fit into the category....

Yeah, I'm tryna throw him a bone.

Yeah, but instead of a bone head who's arrogant and bullish...He played a shy intellect who is kind hearted and all that. Plus he had a legitimate romance for a change. Not his usual slapstick.
